Planning on a bathroom remodel soon. Can you recommend a good design planner? Title is fairly self explanatory.
I'm a condo owner that is tired of their cheap plastic...

I'm available for consultation, very reasonable rates and I can provide SketchUp files. You should definitely have a fish tank wall and solar tube lighting.

con_moto replied:
I don't have any designer recommendations, but I had my bathroom remodeled two years ago (which involved moving a wall) and came up with the new floor plan and design myself. I started out using Excel spreadsheets to come up with different layout options and then used floorplanner.com to get a visual representation of what the different layouts would look and feel like. It worked out well, and I think floorplanner.com gave a pretty accurate representation of what the finished product looks like.
Anonymous replied:
If you have a condo, you probably have a relatively modern design. Gather photos of bathroom styles from the Internet you like with a note of why. A store like Pratt and Larson has a huge selection of tile - stop by and take some photos of tile you like. Are you keeping your toilet and sink, or replacing? Are you moving the plumbing? New mirror? Cabinet/medicine cabinet? New GFI outlets? Steam shower? Glass shower doors? Bring all that and a floor plan of the room with measurements to the designer. Consider upgrading the ceiling lighting with much more and dimmable, it can really illuminate the tiles.
NotATARDIS replied:
Not Neil Kelly, they are the most expensive company. With out even looking at your bath room they will quote you $25-30 k. Check out Houzz.com for local people. For decor help I like Alice Sergeant, for design work Dyer Inc. Design/build firms check out Vanilla Wood. Contractors, look at Gentry and Stone Fly.
