We go to Dr. Fischer in Newport for dentistry, I've been going there for about 15 years! We go to Dr. Bond in Portsmouth, she is in the same practice as Dr. Deleo (Linden Tree Family Health Center). I've been going there 15 years as well. Everyone one in that office is really nice and the doctors are great! Will be great to meet you when you come up!

Dr Hughes is a doctor other doctors could learn from. He actually listened and cared, he was patient, kind and never rude. He will be very sorely missed as there are very few out there of his ilk. The vast numbers that turned out on Saturday are a testimony to how much he was loved and respected by his patients. He did so much for me and my daughter and we are forever grateful to him. He worked very long hours, so he deserves a long rest (though I doubt he'll stay still for long - lol!) May he and his family have a wonderful time together in his retirement whatever they decide to do. XX from Lesley & Tiff.

I've had to wait three weeks for a follow up appointment. The whole system has turned to rats, since GP's practices became run for profit and decisions made to amalgamate several into one. Ours now serves 3000 patients. It took me half an hour sitting on the phone just to make an appointment. At the beginning of August I asked for an appointment any Thursday or Friday afternoon, which are my days off. They didnt have a gp available for the rest of August on those afternoons. Absolutely disgraceful..... My frail 95 year old mothers practice in Cosham isn't much better. They wouldn't even take a blood sample there, they wanted her to traipse all the way to QA on the bus from her home in Hilsea for the first one, then all the way to Drayton health centre for the next one. Profit comes before patients now it seems.I remember the days when GP's actually cared...

If you can get to cosham. Wootton Street surgery is the best ever...receptionist are absolutely brilliant. Doctors are wonderful...best surgery ever..would never like to leave there..x
