Does anyone know of any doctors surgery's in the area that good with anxiety issues? Just had a not great experience with my current surgery and am looking to move....
Bizzie C. replied:
Totally agree with Dr Haselhurst at Brook Lane. Really thorough and compassionate. X
Suzanne W. replied:
Dr Milford was hideous with me she caused me to go back into depression by failing to accept a clinical issue and telling me to pray. GMC complaint in about her. Not one person I have met has a good word to say about her so if she was good with you then I would say you are in the minority of patients that will go to her.
Michelle N. replied:
Are there not 2 Dr Milfords at the surgery?
Nora G. replied:
Try www.italk.org they look after Hampshire and you can sign up online.
Ani K. replied:
Emily Tyrell at Brook lane has been a God send for me. She always takes the time to listen and worked with me to find the right dose to get me functioning again.
Lizzi A. replied:
Hope you get something sorted soon. Whilst you are waiting there are some really good resources at www.getselfhelp.co.uk and there is an app called "SAM" from University of West England which has really good Self help Anxiety Management stuff. I share those two with my own patients regularly for use between consultations and have lots of positive feedback on them!
Hannah B. replied:
Watch out for catchments. They're really strict with who they'll take on around here. I was with Brook lane and moved to Titchfield Common and they wouldn't allow me to stay so I had to go to Jubilee Surgery. Luckily I found Dr Naylor to be fantastic. But she has a waiting list between 4-6 weeks

Shelley O. replied:
We are all at Lockswood surgery and from my experience I really can't fault them. I've been really impressed them dealing with my baby and her reflux and allergies and also with my other young children. They've been so much better then our previous surgery in Whiteley. Hope you get what your looking for in a surgery to meet your expectations and treat you as you feel is appropriate.
Carla O. replied:
I would say I can't fault them but sadly I can Dr Cole mis diagnosed my son when he was 7 months old he was being violently sick every day he couldn't breathe properly I was then fobbed off with your son has a eating disorder and that I'm a paranoid mother a few days passed and my son was rushed into hospital he had bronculitis he's oxygen levels were between 54-62 he's stomach was sucking right in not once did Dr Cole check my sons oxygen levels after 8 long days in hospital with my son hooked up to oxygen machine having to have nebulisers and be fed through a tube we left the hospital and since we've had endless problems with his breathing it very rattly if dr Cole had picked this up when I went instead of saying he had a eating disorder and that I was a paranoid mother I wouldn't of gone through the most heartbreaking thing of my life not being able to do anything and seeing your baby hooked up to machines all because a dr couldn't do his job properly
Charlotte D. replied:
I barely attend there and only ever go if I absolutely have to! Seems they only really care about children or terminally ill people. I can't fault them where terminally ill people are concerned, as Dr Cole was very good with my Pa when he was diagnosed with Sarcoma
What do people think of Lockswood Drs surgery, any other local doctors surgeries recommendations would be gratefully received. Thanks x
Joanne W. replied:
Depends where you live. Surgeries don't normally take on if your not in their catchment area. Brook Lane Surgery are excellent though. Good luck
Julia W. replied:
