Looking for Dr. recommendations to deliver our twins! We would like a Dr. that has a mindset similar to that of a midwife (mainly not pro Csection) as we were going with...

I too have nothing but great things to say about Dr Christen. I was considered high risk as well & was in very close communication with UW the entire course of my pregnancies. He is a no nonsense Dr & I feel he really takes your wishes to heart. In addition to this, his staff at the Doctors Clinic is fantastic as well. I never felt like I was being rushed out. He will answer all of your questions truthfully.
The UW was amazing for my high risk pregnancy I love Dr. Easterling he tried everything to ensure I could have the natural birth I wanted but when it became unsafe for baby and I, I had to have a c section. He still let us nurse in the OR and spend most of the time together until her blood sugar and temp dropped and she had to spend 2 hrs in the NICU.

Congratulations!! Twins are so much fun!! I have been seeing Dr Bohannon since I was a teen and she is amazing. My husband and I had spontaneous twins almost 13 years ago, and she was great at supporting me in the birth that I wanted. I had zero complications through out the pregnancy, the babies were big, healthy, and both head down so having them locally was ideal for us. I'd be happy to share all of our in's and out's of the delivery with you if you're interested:)

You will not find the care you are seeking from the OBs in Kitsap nor at Harrison hospital, sadly. UW or Swedish would be your best options.

Dr Christen!!

Our Intern went to Kitsap Obstetrics & Gynecology PLLC. She liked them very much. They have an office in Silverdale and one in Poulsbo. I went to the head of the clinic, Jorge Zappata for a problem and he was excellent. I'm 66 and have been to Ob/Gyns for 40+ years, so I have experience The other Obs are women.

Does anyone know of a midwife in Port Orchard that accepts apple care?
Miranda L. replied:
Kristina Kruzan?
Erinn S. replied:
Are you looking to have a home/birth center birth? Many midwives in the area accept Apple health care plans. Nicole Coraggio with Gig Harbor Midwifery is pretty amazing and I personally work with her. She is just off Burnham Dr.
Erinn S. replied:
There is also Laura Kuhs at Westsound Birth, who is located in Port Orchard, near Bay Street.
Krystina A. replied:
I don't know any that have privileges at Harrison, but Misty Molina takes the Molina plan under Apple health care. she does home birth or goes to the Tacoma Birthing Inn. both routes have the midwife assistant fee, which is required by Washington state (midwife assistant).. who are you seeing in Shelton? I may have to switch *from* my midwife in Port orchard *to* an OB in Shelton lol!
