I have a friend who was in a failing marriage for many, many years. She had been to more counselors than she could count. She finally was DONE! She decided to give it one more shot, but had little to no hope. She found Dr. Dan Pippinger in Poulsbo. She was blown away! She had never been to such an effective counselor before. She was so happy. He is in high demand, because of this reputation so you would have to expect to be placed on a waiting list. ( by "you" I don't mean, actually YOU...I mean whomever would be looking for the service.)

If you're looking for a child/adolescent/family counselor, I saw Linnea Lauer as a teen and she was outstanding. Can't recommend her enough.

My recommendations are in Silverdale. Deborah Rue for children and Susan Sweetwater for adults. Both are incredible, especially with complicated matters.

Lisa DeFaria at Peninsula Psychological Center. Most of her office hours are in Silverdale but she meets in Poulsbo once a week. Great for individual (adult) therapy and marriage counseling.

Charlene Moy at Thrive Therapy on Bainbridge. She's been my therapist for the last two and a half years. She works with individuals, families, and couples. She also works at Peninsula Cancer Center in Poulsbo two days a week as a wellness therapist, helping patients deal with the emotional aspects of cancer and cancer treatment.

Dr. Hiltz at the Front Street Clinic for medication management, cognitive behavioral therapy and transcranial magnetic stimulation. I have done very well under his care.
