Can anyone recommend a lawyer to help incorporate a sole proprietorship? Any hints or tips to incorporating? TIA
Denise R. replied:
I own www.facebook.com/rdrbookkeeping and I am CPB. Whether you need a lawyer is completely dependent on your situation. We offer a free consultation that could help you determine your needs. info(at)rdrbookkeepingservices.ca
Janice K. replied:
I would highly recommend a lettered accountant and a lawyer. They can be invaluable assets to any corporation. you can check out www.cga-bc.org
Denise R. replied:
Just to be clear, a CPB designation is an accreditation as well. www.ipbc.ca. We as CPBs are not JUST bookkeepers.... We can help! :)
Samantha C. replied:
Heather Sadler is great and their fees are lower than a lot of the other firms in town. If you're having a lawyer do it they should have all the info you'll need.

We used Cliff Shields and he made it simple and easy.
Anyone have a preference of a lawyer for setting up a will...preferably not too expensive..

Cliff Shields is great! Make sure you do your power of attorney too. Lawyer is best, in most cases.

Looking for a good and reasonable notary if lawyer for finalizing my house I just sold !!!
Samantha C. replied:
I used Marvin Hawke and he was good to deal with. Notary fees around town are all pretty comparable. Using a lawyer is more expensive but if you go the notary route and end up with an issue that you need legal assistance/advice with you end up paying the fees twice.
Cheryl A. replied:
Linda Manning or her son. Really reasonable, knowledgeable, thorough with no hassle. Everything done with no complications or issues. Two visits, one to drop off everything and the next time to pick up papers and cheque. I'd use her again in a heartbeat.
