Restaurant recommendations close to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia(CHOP) please. A couple I know from VA have a young son who will be having a couple of surgeries...

If they don't have it tell them to download the Grubhub app or delivery/take out.

If they walk a little north to Spruce and then a few blocks west to 38 th, there is a Wawa, a Chinese place, a cafe, and a few others. Right across from CHOP in the Perelman Center, there is a small cafeteria inside to the right on the ground floor. It's got decent food. They can also get a lot of stuff delivered, I think. Could be a good option.

If they walk 5 minutes north to Sansom, there's a half dozen restaurants that range from burritos to fine-dining in that stretch from 34 th to 35 th. My sister has had several extended stays at chop over the last few years. The cafeteria food is surprisingly good and varied. I think the burrito station is or was run by Jose garces. The made to order Asian bowl station was great. And I really liked the Mediterranean station. The menu does offer some variation from day to day too. It got old after awhile, but that was after several months. A few weeks? They'll probably be fine. https://chop.healthcaredish.com/Commerce/Catalog/Menus.aspx?LocationId=8478&PeriodId=2547&MenuDate=2017-08-16&Mode=day&UIBuildDateFrom=2017-08-15

Very good food trucks line Spruce up to about 38 th. World Cafe isn't terrible for lunch. But yeah, Grubhub and Caviar will give them literally hundreds of options in that area.

Like others have said there are lots of non-fancy spots in that area. Greek Lady, Manekeesh, Jimmy Johns, Saad's, Qdoba, Hummus, Chipotle, SweetGreen, HipCity Veg, etc etc

Is this the family that has the Facebook page for Finn? Regardless, Baby Blues BBQ and New Deck Tavern are next to each other on Samson and 34 th and are less than a 10 min walk from CHOP.
Any recommendations for good restaurants in East Sac, Rancho Cordova or Folsom? My wife and I are celebrating our wedding anniversary this weekend, and have planned to...

Thank you for all the great suggestions. We have decided to go to Cannon, looks great.

I lived in Folsom for a long while and can confirm that it is a suburban chain store wasteland. But there is a little bit of culture there. Marly and Moo, Hacienda Mexican Grill, Manderes and like others have said, Sutter Steakhouse. While its probably not what you’re looking for, Karen’s Bakery is in Folsom, and it is so good. The closest comparable down here is Ettore’s, and it’s not quite the same. East sac is easier. Cannon is the hot new place right now that is truly amazing. Kru is perhaps my favorite restaurant in Sacramento. Other fine options in east sac are OBO, Sellands, Onespeed and Formoli’s.

There is a small pizza place called Cap’s pizza located on La Riviera. You can call them and ask for reservations.
Jragghen replied:
Folsom: Sutter Street Steakhouse is the "nicest" please in town, but on the more expensive side. If you're looking not quite that expensive, Visconti's is locally owned Italian and handles groups. Another alternative for east sac which I don't know if they do larger groups but which is definitely a reservation "anniversary" sort of place would be Biba. If you're looking for something a bit more relaxed, it's not East sac, but maybe Heat Shabu Baru? They take reservations for groups. Just tried that this weekend and we enjoyed it.
