Hello!
Me and my fiance recently booked Salero for our wedding in May 2015!!! I have a few questions if you guys could help me out:
1. Who should i contact about the...
Danielle C. replied:
I liked Daria Horn from sweet art for the cake, she made my vision come to life.
Elise M. replied:
Do NOT use Bed of Roses. Dawn will fill you in on the rest. Jen Rineer (Carolina Sugar Fairy) and Brian King both do beautiful cakes, and Salero is the perfect place - good luck and enjoy your planning and your day!!
Dawn H. replied:
Brian King or Jen Rineer have my vote for cake. As far as photography I would cut costs elsewhere and spend it on pictures. That is your only lasting memory of your wedding day and in my opinion one of the most important vendors you will hire (besides me of course - ha!). You will be very hard pressed to find a professional photographer that is under $2,500 but they are worth every penny! Look at my links tab for our preferred vendors. I can't stress that enough!
Lindsay O. replied:
Contact City Hall in Rehoboth for the beach permit. City Managers office will send it over to you. Super simple!
Sam E. replied:
Kelly Nygard, great choice with Salero! My photography packages start at $2,000. However, I also offer an associate photographer package for less. Feel free to contact me at sam@samellis.com or 302-841-0015 to discuss things. I've done many weddings at Salero and my associate photographer, Jessica, is a well-established photographer who prefers to be part time so she has more time with her young family. My website is www.samellis.com
Dawn H. replied:
Bayberry and Pamela Willin Yingling are my picks for flowers. When selecting your vendors please ensure that they are licensed and insured and have them prove it to you!! There are vendors out there believe it or not that are not licensed! Also feel free to call/text me before you book and I can give my opinion on what I have seen/witnessed and recommend. Not saying you have to listen to me but I have seen the amazing to the UGLY and can steer you away from the ugly.

If you are on a budget like I was, I found a couple of vendors outside of Reho who were cheaper but wonderful. Sweet Disposition in Selbyville did our cake for $325 in 2011 (it was a more traditional design but absolutely delicious, I wasnt interested in anything super creative or artsy) and Blossoms Florist in Dagsboro for about $1000. Much more reasonable than the florists in Reho but again more traditional.

My Husband and I planned our wedding from Ohio, never met any of our vendors until the week of the wedding and truly couldn't say enough about them!! Flowers- Pamela Willin Yingling from forever flowers. she makes you feel like you are her only client (we had a thread of 150+ emails!). she truly needs to charge a fortune (which she doesn't at all) because she is worth every penny! Cake/Cupcake- Cake break. Debbie is wonderful to work with.. and YUM!! my guests are still raving about their cupcakes and how they wish they had them in Ohio! Officiant- Jeffrey Gisriel. One of the most down to earth people you will ever meet. I watch our ceremony all the time and think to myself, "wow.. I can't even believe we met him the day of our wedding" because you would never be able to tell. He's the best! Hair- Kathy from Made You Look Makeup- Heidi from Make You Look Hope this helps and let me know if you need anything! Happy wedding planning
Katie D. replied:
Rob Korb is an amazing photographer! You should look into him Daria from Sweet Art did our cake and we were really happy. It was delicious and looked beautiful! My bridesmaids and I went to Bad Hair Day in Rehoboth for hair, makeup and nails. They were awesome and treated us like queens.
Jasmine P. replied:
My mom did my bouquet, and my hair and makeup was done by my friend who was coming to the wedding any way... Take a look at my page for my pictures... Cake Break took a picture of a cake I found online and made it come to life... and the cake tasted as wonderful as it did during our tasting!!! For a photographer, you can't go wrong with Kristen Latham of A Day In A LIFE Designs... again, check out my FB page for pictures. She and Marc captured our special day better that either one of us could have imagined!!! And of course, you can't go wrong with Dawn, Mike and the crew at Salero's!!! Oh, and Jimmy G played steel drums for us on the beach and during our cocktail hour... It was that extra something that I was glad someone mentioned early on in my planning stages!!! Whoever you choose, you will have a wonderful day!!! ENJOY THE RIDE! It's over wayyy to quick!!!
Rochelle B. replied:
I highly recommend Sam Ellis as a photographer and Daria Horn of Sweet Art for a cake. You cannot go wrong with them as vendors - they are very familiar with working with Dawn and her staff and are awesome people to work with as a bride!
Tracy B. replied:
Check out cake break, bad hair day, Daniel Bostwick Photography, flowers by Mayumi. I had to start planning my wedding from Los Angeles, never went to a bridal show. I used all these vendors above and had zero issues! you can also Start with Dawn's links and go from there! Goodluck!
