http://www.dfps.state.tx.us/Child_Care/Search_Texas_Child_Care/default.asp This is a great website to help you research. You can see what kind of infractions were found during inspections.

You can get a list of registered commercial and in-home daycare providers at this link on the City of Richardson's website: http://www.cor.net/index.aspx?page=546

If you do not need a full day, Arapaho Day School on Coit/Arapaho was excellent! Both of my boys went there until schoolaged. If you need longer hours, ask the director. Often there are teachers or parents that care for kids after hours for a fee. (I used to work there as well a few years ago and took home a couple of babies/students.) If I weren't home FT homeschooling and had to do it over again, that's exactly where my kids would go again.
Tammy L. replied:
check out "CARE" the child development program at Richardson East Church of Christ. We don't go to that church, but had a great experience with their daycare and community. They have infants, but we did not discover it until our youngest was about 2, so not as familiar with the infant area. (talk to Tresia or Taylor) Congrats!

First United Methodist Church Richardson has a childcare program, it fills up FAST!

I started at Richardson Learning Center for my then 11 month old. my experience there was awful. She was there 4 months before I finally pulled her out. She's now at Spring Creek Private School about to move into the 18 month room and I LOVE it. She's been there since January.

Child Care development at Campbell and Plano rd behind Golden Coral at the Methodist Church. They are the best and have private kinder. As far as the religious aspect they teach them to be kind to others and animals and that God loves us all. No big religious push but the best school ever

Octopus Garden on Arapaho, near Grove. Our daughter was here from ages 2-5 and back in the summers for a couple of years. Lunches and snacks prepared on site. Loving owners. A fantastic place. https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Octopus-Garden-Preschool/308948902500370?fref=ts

FUMCR is great but has a lonnnnnngggggg wait list. It's worth a try. She can go to this site http://www.dfps.state.tx.us/child_care And check out centers records - see if there are safety issues etc.
Amanda P. replied:
I second FUMCR. They have an amazing program, but long wait list. It's worth getting on the wait list and swapping when a spot comes open. Is she only looking for full time care or part time? FBCR has great part time care too: http://fbcr.org/preschool/firstkids
Courtney T. replied:
Oak Creek Day Care is at Collins and Jupiter. Great school!
Camille M. replied:
I had a good experience with FUMCR mothers day out, but not the full time care. We were on the wait list for 18 months and stayed for 18 days. We go to Little Steps Montesorri.

I am very happy with KinderCare Addison. They have great teachers and it's relatively small, so it has a good feeling. They are at the NW corner of the Beltline and the Tollway. The entrance to the daycare is on the back of a high rise, off Spectrum Drive. If you go for a tour, tell them I referred you. If you end up signing up, I think we will both get a referral bonus. When I was looking, MANY people referred me to the First United Methodist Church daycare, too. I got on their waiting list, but didn't make it to the top of the list at the right time. It's very close to here and open to 5 or 6, I think. https://www.facebook.com/KinderCare.Addison.Addison/
