Agree with Shirley Heaton about contacting Coldwell Banker Best Realty. Their property management group is quite helpful in finding a place to live. Stay away from the housing near the back gate. The areas are Oasis and La Mirage. That used to be base housing (I lived there) but was sold to a private company. Some of the better areas to live in, depending on income, are College Heights, Ripley Estates, Green Acres, Deeter area. Ridgecrest Heights, depending on location, isn't a bad area to live in. Apartments in the Sunset Street area are now renting out for around $900 a month. Hope this helps!

Can anyone recommend a nice hotel/resort in the Palm Springs, Palm Desert area more for a family with young children? Fun pool with water slides or lazy river!

Ace Hotel & Swim Club
Memo V. replied:
Rancho Las Palmas is the best.
Bonnie M. replied:
Hyatt Indian wells is also nice. A little bit of a bigger room, and not as expensive as rancho las palmas. They have a smaller water slide and kiddie pool, also some kid activities twice a day. Ask for a bottom room by the pool and you can walk back and forth easy with kids.
I have a question.... Does anyone have ideas or recommendations on some nice, romantic getaway in California... looking for a hotel with in room jacuzzi/jetted tub....

also call Riverside Housing Authority as they might have a list of low income properties. I am sure you are not the only one with poor credit so don't let that get you down.
