Maybe try [The Cut barbershop.](http://cutbarbershop.com/) They serve beer while you wait, I think, and the stylists are all younger ladies. My significant other went there recently, and his hair looks great now compared to all the other places he has been. (However - he IS a middle-aged businessman, lol.) He went there because I read about it on another Reddit thread from a few months ago that recommended it.

You could try the Aveda Institute located [here](https://www.google.com/maps/preview/place//@35.214297,-80.8553013,17 z/data=!3 m1!4 b1!4 m2!3 m1!1 s0 x0:0 x44973 c0 c3 ca1 d97 e). I think it is about $15 and they don't accept tips. I haven't been to this one yet, but went to one elsewhere and will come to this one when I need a cut. Only thing is, it takes a while. The one I went to do the whole thing, they wash, condition and cut. They also gave me a hand and scalp massage. I was very pleasantly surprised!

Great Clips if you need something simple at a reasonable price ($12). Always friendly and super quick, plus they’re nearby. Online check in makes weekend stops doable and they get sort of busy.

Great Clips is fast, cheap, and they do a good job. Plus, as others have mentioned, they know what you like to do with your hair when you come back by storing it in their system. This post was made by the Great Clips Gang
