I'm also looking for a new black doctor (PCP). Shabaka and I were just discussing the fact that other ethnicities have the benefit of a common language that is other than english to use the search engines built into most HMO sites. But that doesn't help us as decedents of those without a common language. Joan Chisolm is a female OB/GYN -- Love her!

Splurge luxury ideas in upstate NY Hey Rochester, I'm looking for a unique and memorable overnight or weekend experience in upstate new york for myself and my wife. Can...

Luxury Destination Spa/Hotel... Mirbeau In Skaneateles comes to mind first. Great fine dining nearby at The Krebs as well. You could do Spa/Hotel at Del Monte in Pittsford but Mirbeau is a different level. The Kitchen (see below) would probably be your fine dining play nearby. Del Lago Casino has a Spa/Hotel as well, Portico there is good food and FLX (see below) is sort of near. Could maybe line up a day there’s an interesting show there or something. Luxury dining: FLX Table in Geneva if you get a reservation, it’s small and gets booked up. Won a bunch of awards and id inquire here first. The Kitchen in Pittsford has a big 9 or 10 course thing I think it’s like $125-150 each not counting booze.

Niagara on the Lake?
BubbaGumpEnterprises replied:
Well I can't personally attest to it, you could look into Belhurst Castle by Seneca Lake (Finger Lakes region). They definitely have the accommodations and dining, as well as opening the door to the area and the activities there.

I don’t have any advice but I’m confused why you list working at a soup kitchen surrounded by homeless people all day as an option along with “extreme luxury” dining and high end spa experiences. If you’ve got money to blow to where it’s no object, charter a quick flight to NYC and you can find some real “extreme luxury” dining, not this bougie $300 meal stuff.

Look into Buffalo. A couple of high end historic boutique hotels have opened in the past few years. * Hotel Lafayette * The Mansion on Delaware * Hotel Henry - inside the ornately renovated old insane asylum. Also look into: * Holimont Resort in Ellicottville * Chautauqua Institute in Chatauqua Those are places where the rich and famous are known to congregate for retreats.

Luxurious dining ideas:
* [Ravinous Kitchen Geneva](http://www.ravineswine.com/Visit-Us/Farm-to-Table-Tastings) - The Ravinous table experience is 5 courses and 6 wines. $75 per person.
* [F.L.X. Table Geneva](https://flxtable.com/) - 5 course prix fixe $59, wine pairing $35 to $150 per person.
* [The Kitchen Pittsford](https://thekitchenpittsford.com/kitchen/) - 5 course Chef's Table $65 per person, 9 course $125 (with champagne toast).
* If you don't mind waiting until NYE, there are usually a good handful of restaurants that do multi-course prix fixes in the $100-150 dollar range here in Rochester.
Luxurious weekend:
Stay at the hotel Geneva on the Lake, visit wineries, eat at either FLX Table and/or Ravinous Kitchen, go to the New York Wine and Culinary Center for a cooking class or brunch.
Luxurious food or drink:
Really depends on what you enjoy eating...
* McCanns and Palmer's Butchers offer orders of dry aged steaks.
* You can get roe at various grocery stores including [Wegmans](https://www.wegmans.com/products/cheese-shop/caviar.html), but I'm not aware of any places that sell sturgeon caviar in Rochester (though I heard a rumor that [Europa Deli](http://www.europadeliny.com/seafood.html) had some at one point).
* You can get some pretty decent cheese at the Pittsford Wegmans, or some seriously fine cheese at VM Giordano Imports European Cheese Shop.
* Pittsford Wegmans sells black truffles
* Champagne - Dom Perignon - There isn't such thing as a bad Dom, but google its "vintage" years if you care about wine ratings. Likewise you could pickup Pol Roger Vintage Blanc de Blancs or something similar.
Volunteering:
You could go to the [RYP 2nd Annual Volunteering Expo](http://r-y-p.org/event/ryp-2nd-annual-volunteering-board-expo/) on Dec 6th to find some oppurtunities to help out around the community.

Just to add to this, I don't remember the company but you can rent luxury vehicles for special occasions (Ferarris etc). Or just book a limo to take you to the places that you pick for dinner, hotel, etc.
