I respect anyone who is grinding. And some individuals in these professions are earning a great living for themselves. What is a concern for me is that everyone is doing the same thing. Pretty soon hair salons will be on every block like churches and the market will be too saturated. I would like to see my people doing more for our community. As a former teen mom I decided I want to use my experience of completing high school, going to college and eventually getting my MBA to help other teen mothers overcome similar challenges. www.facebook.com/projectvictoryofrochesterhttp://www.meetup.com/Project-Victory-Claiming-victory-for-young-mothers/

Can anyone recommend a podiatrist in the area? I run off and on with good shoes from fleet feet but noticed some foot pain on top of foot for past few weeks. Hurts more...
Karen M. replied:
I love Dr. Massimo Pietrantoni at Rochester Podiatryhttp://rochesterpodiatryllp.com/
Patti W. replied:
Dr. Uribe from Upstate Sports and Spine is wonderful!!
Wanda S. replied:
Joseph DiPrima. Saved my feet! I am concerned, though, that you might have a stress fracture - someone I know was told xrays didn't show a fracture, but after a week or two another xray was taken and an MRI, and there was one. Boot for some long weeks fixed the problem. Your symptoms sound very similar...would encourage you to see a podiatrist or orthopedist.
Rachel P. replied:
Dr. John Hunter at Genesee Valley Podiatryhttp://www.geneseevalleypodiatry.com/
Donna C. replied:
I see Pearce Sloan of Metro Foot Care. I had a similar pain in that same area and was diagnosed as Morton's neuroma but when I had a stress fracture in that spot he was able to recognize it in the x-ray. Caught it early enough I was only in a boot for two weeks.
Michelle P. replied:
I also see Dr. DIPRIMA he's a great guy. Helped me with plantar fascists and a Morton neuroma. Got me back to running very quickly
Bill S. replied:
Yes, Dr. Diprima
Elyse W. replied:
I went to Dr. Pietrantonio for an issue with my foot and achilles. I ended up with orthotics....this was about 7 years ago or so and it fixed the problem and my feet have been just fine ever since!

I'm at the Mizuno booth right now at Fleet Feet Conference. This is a special edition makeup for the Peachtree 10 k in Atlanta July 4 th weekend. It will be at their expo. I'm having them check availability. It may be sold out.
Ellen B. replied:
Ok. So it's a special makeup with many sold. However Fleet Feet Sports Decatur has them (they are near Atlanta). You can call them 404-371-0208 and buy over phone and have it shipped. Only select retailers have them in Atlanta. I just called their store, they have it and are ready to help if you'd like them.
