The Vietnam Veterans of America thrift store on Main is probably one of the most grungy and interesting of the bunch. There's a Salvation Army on West Ave near Cairn that fits that description too. Aside from that, if you want to hit a bunch of them in a row, Henrietta has a Goodwill, Thrifty Shopper, AmVets, and Salvation Army within about a half mile of each other. Another really cool place is the antique co-op on Ridge Road in Greece. The prices are fair and it takes a good 2-3 hours to see everything. It's a fun place to take a date, if you're both into that sort of thing. That should be enough to get you started!

My dad works at Antiques and Old Lace on University ave. Go in on a Monday and say you're on reddit and he'll hook you up. He doesn't understand the term redditor though.

Utter Clutter on Park Ave is great. I got a vintage airline cart there that I use as a bedside table. They may still have its twin there.

[Metro Retro](http://rocwiki.org/Metro_Retro) is cool, and (relatively) cheap, [Godiva's](http://rocwiki.org/Godiva%27 s) on South Ave has a lot of vintage clothing. If you're looking for thrift stores, RocWiki [has a decent list](http://rocwiki.org/Thrift_Stores).

Check out the Village Gate on Goodman. Quirky vintage shopping and good eats, and decent prices. I highly recommend it.

I know this is a little late, but I just found this subreddit! I work at [Historic Houseparts](http://www.historichouseparts.com) well, I work at the bath store, [Period Bath Supply Co](http://www.periodbath.com). It's a great store. You might not find anything, as it's mostly house items, but there's hardware for doors, windows, cabinets, ect. Have fun!

It's a bit pricery, but there's Aaron's Alley on Monroe in the city. You can find some great deals there (gorgeous leather coat for $40) but you have to hunt for them.
