What summer camp has your troop attended that you would recommend? The boys are looking to try somewhere new this year. Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks!

An example would be the First Division museum at www.cantigny.org, located in Wheaton, IL, western Chicago suburbs. Includes a tour of division's history with a large collection of artifacts and walk through dioramas of a WWI trench and Omaha Beach. Outside the museum is an impressive collection of armored vehicles and artillery on display.

The Stockholm Inn has great Swedish breakfast and dinner options. On Saturdays they do a breakfast buffet starting at 8 as well as a dinner buffet later that serves both American and Traditional Swedish fair: http://www.stockholminn.com/

If you are going to see the remains of Camp Grant, no tour is complete without stopping at The Command Post restaurant. It houses the Camp Grant museum and serves up some very good chow as well!

If you'd like to try something a little different, try The Smokin' Coop BBQ. You take 20 east out of Rockford towards Belvidere. It's great...tasty sandwiches, unique atmosphere. You eat outdoors but there is a covered area. You can take your vehicles, they have cruise nights at least once a week. Live music playing. They have a Facebook page if you are interested.
Good Morning Scouters!
I'm looking for the names of any outfitters you might have used for the boundary waters area that you were either happy with or maybe even not so...
