Dog questions! Hi! I'm getting a puppy in March and am doing a little research now.

[Family Friends Veterinary](http://www.familyfriendsvet.com/) is my recommendation for a vet. My pets have been going to Dr. Randy and Dr. Ryan (father/son team) for years and they receive the best care!

Might be a bit of a drive for you,but Grand rivine south near gvsu is a huge park you can let your pup explore and train off leash walking with.

We have a corgi & the off leash dog parks we visit regularly are [Hillcrest Dog Park](https://www.facebook.com/pages/Hillcrest-Dog-Park/100854359973761) and [Covell Dog Park](https://www.facebook.com/GrandRapidsNwDogPark/). Hillcrest has separate fenced areas for puppies/small dogs & large dogs, while Covell is just one big fenced in square. Covell is also wide open so our corg gets too hot in the summer heat & sun there, Hillcrest has some trees that provide shade.
Our favorite places for a nice big walk are Riverside Park, Proven Trails Park, and any of the trails around Reeds Lake.
As far as vet care we actually drive back to my hometown vet as the prices are so much more reasonable & the care is great. Enjoy your new pup! GR is a great city to have a dog in.

Depends on what part of the city you're in, but if you're in Comstock Park I would highly recommend Great Lakes Animal Hospital on West River Drive and there's a really nice dog park in Rockford. What kind of puppy are you getting? We're getting a Scotch Collie (farm collie) this Monday and are super excited.

We use GR Dog Adventures for dog walking. They are fantastic and I can't recommend them enough. http://grdogadventures.com/

One more reply - Whiskers for doggie daycare is great too. Our dog had some special care requirements and they were very good with her. The facility is immaculate and they do a great job of grouping the dogs by temperament. We have used them for both boarding and daycare. I am interested in their training programs as well, but I haven't done that yet. They have a program where they will do training while the dog is at daycare. Good luck!
Looking for advise. Our dog got bit this weekend. It's about 1.5 inch and clean cut. My husband and I think he may need stitches. Does anyone have a good country vet who...

Have heard great things about Cedar Animal Hospital, Sand Lake Vet, and Town & Country in Greenville. Best of luck!
