Any recommendations on a low cost veterinarian? Me expensive cat did something to his poor foot. I think he might of stepped on something outside.

Amery Pet Clinic. It's a hike, but it's a fraction of the cost of vets here in the cities.

Don't give up on her yet Michelle. If her health is still pretty good but she is just slowing down and has a bum hip she may still have a couple years left in her. Check out this site. Www.handicappedpets.com There are slings to help them stand or support on stairs or going potty. Or, carts for their back sides if everything else is working fine. And dogs can use some good anti inflammatory meds that help with pain (as opposed to cats.) My old girl used a med called Rimadyl for a few years and it really helped. Good luck with your old gal.
