My husbands cousin (Dan Hafner) is right on Grand. I have gone to him for years. They do an excellent job. http://www.completechirohealth.com/aboutus.html
It is time to pick a pediatrician. Does anyone have a good clinic/doctor that they'd recommend for newborn care and beyond? Possibly a family practice that we can all go...
Danette A. replied:
I love our pediatrician- at the Aspen medical Clinic, Bandana Square (soon to be Allina clinic). Dr. Sandra Mayrand is just awesome! (off of Energy Park Dr and Lexington Pkwy).

If you have health insurance, you'll probably want to see who's in-network and which hospital the provider has privileges at. Not meant to be a plug or anything but Aspen is a pretty good network of clinics (they are now part of the Allina medical clinics). The only thing with Aspen is that most of their locations (including Bandana Square) do not have a Family Practitioner (usually sees both adults and children). They have pediatricians (usually sees 18 or 21 and under only) and internists (18+ only) separately. The Aspen in Maplewood does have 1-2 FPs though but you'll want to check to see if they see all ages (I can't remember the details). I've never heard a bad thing about any of the Aspen pediatricians so they're safe. ;) You can find out more about each provider at www.allinahealth.org. Oh, and also you can call anytime 24/7 to make appts with Allina clinics.

There's a Pediatric and Young Adult Medicine near the Children's Hospital on Grand. That's where we met our pediatrician. They also have a clinic in Maplewood, Lake Elmo, Eagan and Hudson. http://www.pyam.com/
Hi, FB pals. Can anyone recommend a great family doctor in St. Paul? I prefer a female doctor. When I retire at the end of the month, it is going to make sense to change...
Jodie A. replied:
Mary Ellen--I've been going to Linda Johnson in the Edina Family Practice group for years. She's smart, calm, and has it all together. I highly recommend her. Edina was fine when I lived in Minneapolis, or even after I moved to St. Paul because I could schedule appointments before or after work. But I need someone a bit more convenient to me in St. Paul.
Jim L. replied:
Too bad it has to be St. Paul, as my wife is a great family doc'. As it happens, a former partner of hers is in St. Paul, a great family doc' and a delightful human being. Dr. Deanna Plant, United Family Clinic on W. 7 th and Randolph, she oughta' be in the book. She's good people.
Jodie A. replied:
Jim, I don't think my insurance covers United Family Clinic. Where is your wife's office?
