I'm currently reading "The Last Best Cure" by Donna Jackson Nakazawa about how the author (a science journalist) used mind-body therapies to recover from severe auto-immune disorders. Highly recommend it.
Keeping the body fully hydrate is most often mentioned to minimize kidney problems. A minimum of 6 – 8 glasses of water per day. Many like to add 1 or 2 drops of Lemon essential oil to each glass of water. Zendocrine Detoxification Complex is a combination of whole food extracts to provide support for the body’s cleansing organs including the kidneys and is taken with Zendocrine Blend. This and other cleanses should be considered. Nutritional balance and promoting homeostasis will give the body systems the full support to correct problems. The LifeLong Vitality supplements coupled with periodic AromaTouch technique massages should be included. Clary Sage, Lemongrass and other oils (AromaTouch, Geranium, Grapefruit) are mentioned for their help with kidney functions along with the blend Balance for its “balancing and calming” benefits. Topically applied to kidney area, layered if multiple oils are used, followed with a warm compress.

I am always learning, sharing... I'm more of a friend's and family hetbalist. Cynthia Thomas has a clinic, Sacred Journey Healing Arts, in Minneapolis. She is an awesome herbalist and one of my mentors.
