We see Dr. Nickman at Metro Pediatric Dentistry in North Oaks. He's great! He has not seen Timothy but I've discussed his special dentistry needs with him and he seemed very comfortable with it.

We see Dr. Beinlich at Pediatric Dentistry in Stillwater.

We go to Serenity Dental in Woodbury. We love it! You get to pick a movie to watch, special gum or sucker after, get to wear cool glass and also an option to have warm towel wraps for your hands. Serenitydentalwoodbury.com
Carissa R. replied:
I second Dr Fathery at Salute in Woodbury - Vandalyn loves it there. Not a pediatric dentist but better i think because of the calm, relaxed surrounding. The first pediatric dentist I took V too was terrible, it was busy, loud, chaotic, not a good place for a kid thats nervous or special needs. The past few years I've taken her to Salute. We love the office, the people...great place!
Hey all! I'm about to have my first baby girl in the next couple of weeks and wondering if anyone has recommendations for good pediatricians near downtown Minneapolis? I...
Abby M. replied:
My husband and I just had our first baby girl and will be seeing Dr. Diana Cutts at HCMC. My husband is also a pediatrician and has much respect for Dr. Cutts. She has a special interest in childhood nutrition and breastfeeding if that is something you would like support in.

Can anyone recommend a good pediatrician/nurse practitioner in the area? Ours just retired. We have Health Partners insurance.
Leah L. replied:
Dr.Susan Goodale at Central Pediatrics Snelling and Larpenteur. We've been seeing her for 18 years and absolutely love her. She is great with all ages. Also love the after hours clinic that Central Peds offers. 651-645-4693
Amanda B. replied:
We love Dr Gooddale at Central Peds. We've seen lots of doctors at that clinic and they have all been great, but she's our primary. They have great evening and weekend hours too...
Danielle R. replied:
We've been seeing Dr Goodale at Central Peds and like her a lot, but I have also noticed that she does seem short on time as Berit noted. It's nice to know that others feel the same way!
Lindsey R. replied:
We have been using Aspen Medical Clinic in Highland Park and have been happy with them. My school ager sees Dr. Faegre.
Molly O. replied:
We are switching from Central Peds to the St. Paul Children's Clinic. We can chat more if you want!
Katie S. replied:
Dr. Kovarik is difficult to get in to see when you have something come up because her schedule is always full. If you want someone who will be available for sick appointments as well as well child appointments, she probably isn't the best choice.
Samantha B. replied:
Teresa Kavarik at health partners como clinic! She was my both sisters pediatrician and mine and my nieces and now my sons!
Karen M. replied:
Just another vote for Dr. Kovarik at HP Como. She has been our boy's pediatrician since he was released from Children's. We love her and Martin, one of the RNs there. All the admin people there have also been great.
Amy G. replied:
Not a pediatric Dr but our family sees Dr. Dan Larkin at HealthEast Grand Ave. If he isn't available we see Dr. Van Dyke, Dr. Moshay or Dr. Clevenger. All the are wonderful! They really take the time to know their patients. I can't say enough great things about the clinic. I've been going there for about 15 years.
Sara E. replied:
We love Dr. Goodale--and just wish we could find someone as wonderful who sees adults. We were at Aspen Bandana Square and really liked them until kids had health issues that were beyond the ordinary.
Shannon K. replied:
My kids have been cared for by Dr. Sharon Jaeger at Central Peds for 12 years. We love her! We have also seen other Dr.s there over the years, if she was not available, and have always had good care.
Leah B. replied:
Dr. Goodale at Central Pediatrics
Amanda N. replied:
Wer LOVE Central Pediatrics (we see Dr. Richart, who is amazing!)
Liza P. replied:
It's nice to hear that people like Central Peds. We've had two lousy experiences with their Urgent Care, so I'm glad the regular service is better.
Rebecca M. replied:
Hands down, Central Pediatrics. We see Dr. Goodale, who is excellent at supporting not just the child but the whole family. I hear excellent things about Dr. Ritchart and Dr. Jaeger as well.
Berit T. replied:
We changed from Central Peds to Pediatric & Young Adult Medicine on Grand and I'm so happy with this new clinic. I liked the doctors at Central Peds (we've seen Goodale, Jaeger and Richarts) but not how it was run, very crowded waiting room, doctors seemed stressed and on the run. I was not comfortable asking questions that weren't "life threatening". PYAM seems to schedule more time per appointment so it's never hurried. I also love that I can speak with our doctor when I call and don't have to go through phone tag with nurses. We see Dr. Saxton, but I've liked the CNP and other doctors, too.
Kristin H. replied:
Erin Pryor Pavlica, yes, we had Mary. she is so great. Really gonna miss her. Thanks to everybody for the recommendations!
Michelle J. replied:
I love that the one I was going to suggest is the first one......Pediatric and Young Adult Medicine is fabulous.....I was a patient there growing up and now my daughter is one of their patients. Dr. Coyne he works there has been there since Dirt was new!
Jessica B. replied:
We like Goodale at Central Peds as well.
Kate S. replied:
I've had a good experience with the docs at Bandana Square - Allina (used to be Aspen), esp Dr. Gorin and Dr. London. I'm fairly straightforward with my own health care and I feel like these two especially have a good balance of working with kids on their level, but also working with parents and explaining why they are doing what they are doing.
Mary F. replied:
Dr. Kovarik and Dr. Cederberg at HP Como. Fabulous! Never had problems getting appts with either one.
Liza P. replied:
Pediatric & Young Adult Medicine on Grand. We love Plotnik, but they're all wonderful.
Suzanne S. replied:
She takes her kids to Central Peds in Roseville. I'm also sending you a PM.

Yes, we loved Dr. Kovarik!

Nick C. replied:
Dr. Vang at Cherokee Dental is also excellent. He takes care of my family (4 of us) and my brother (4 of them). He is great with kids too.
Kelsey L. replied:
Hey- All three of us see Lisa Phifer at United Family Medicine, on W 7 th and Randolph. Now, I'm just a little bit biased because I'm also a resident at the clinic. But in all seriousness, we love her. She is kind, warm, and brilliant. She's also newer to the practice, which is nice because it's easier to get an appointment with her than the folks that have been there for 30 years. We haven't been to the dentist yet since we moved here, but another family in the neighborhood all go to and recommended McDonnell Family Dentistry, right here in the neighborhood on Smith across from Capital View.
Mary R. replied:
We go to the dentist on Smith: Dr. Steven McDonnell and our family has really liked him.
Grit Y. replied:
Joshua Vang, DDS@Cherokee Dental on Annapolis. Only positive things!

Pediatric and Young Adult Medicine doctors are awesome. They have offices everywhere including Lake Elmo. Dr. Siefferman was my doc as a kid and he's Jack's doctor now. Awesome guy.

Would you do Stillwater medical group? Dr. Cress is amazing! He really loves his job.
Paul B. replied:
All there of my kids are alive and well. We go to Aspen Bandana Square clinic. Pediatric and OB departments were great!
Hey St. Paul people, we are looking for recommendations for a good family practice office or pediatrician. Any suggestions?
Renee H. replied:
We like Dr. Mayrand (really, all the pediatricians) at Allina Health Bandana Square. But I'll be honest, I'm not that picky about my pediatricians. I don't interview them, etc. I just need them to give shots and dispense prescriptions. I mostly go there because it's nice and close. Having said that, if I were going to pick among them now, I'd go with Dr. London. He's very calm. http://www.allinahealth.org/ahs/medicalservices.nsf/page/AH_Bandana_Square
Yadira S. replied:
Dr Anna Milz, she works at the Healtheast Woodbury Clinic. She is amazing. Has been seeing my kids for a year and a half now. She is so good with kids and parents alike. She knows our story and just really takes care of us every time we see her. Even though it's quite a drive for us now from Champlin, we stayed with her because she is one of a kind:)
Anna H. replied:
Dr. Dan Khourey at Central Peds in Woodbury. Word on the street is he is the pediatrician of the year, but I haven't actually seen proof of that myself. He is wonderful and we love him!!!

Rebecca B. replied:
Are you friends with Jen Mason? she's awesome and would know. I'll ask her if she doesn't see this.
Deb H. replied:
Rex Haberman, we see him at Aspen Bandana (Now it's Allina Bandana). He doesn't have the best bedside manner but is very good. And the fun side is that he has a rock band on the side. They're called the War Poets. They sing about marriage equality ect. But I get off topic. He's a good ENT!
It is time to pick a pediatrician. Does anyone have a good clinic/doctor that they'd recommend for newborn care and beyond? Possibly a family practice that we can all go...
Danette A. replied:
I love our pediatrician- at the Aspen medical Clinic, Bandana Square (soon to be Allina clinic). Dr. Sandra Mayrand is just awesome! (off of Energy Park Dr and Lexington Pkwy).
Pat S. replied:
We use the Maryland Clinic@911 Maryland, it is now an Entira clinic, my husband has gone there since he was a young boy and I have gone there since I moved here 34 years ago, had my children there, they have some very good dr and NP
Susan C. replied:
If you have health insurance, you'll probably want to see who's in-network and which hospital the provider has privileges at. Not meant to be a plug or anything but Aspen is a pretty good network of clinics (they are now part of the Allina medical clinics). The only thing with Aspen is that most of their locations (including Bandana Square) do not have a Family Practitioner (usually sees both adults and children). They have pediatricians (usually sees 18 or 21 and under only) and internists (18+ only) separately. The Aspen in Maplewood does have 1-2 FPs though but you'll want to check to see if they see all ages (I can't remember the details). I've never heard a bad thing about any of the Aspen pediatricians so they're safe. ;) You can find out more about each provider at www.allinahealth.org. Oh, and also you can call anytime 24/7 to make appts with Allina clinics.
Sarah G. replied:
There's a Pediatric and Young Adult Medicine near the Children's Hospital on Grand. That's where we met our pediatrician. They also have a clinic in Maplewood, Lake Elmo, Eagan and Hudson. http://www.pyam.com/
