I shop from moodfabrics.com. Yeah, they are sometimes expensive, but I've also been able to find hard to find fabrics from them as well. Quality stuff and when in doubt, order samples. I haven't been disappointed yet!

Fabric.com is another good online site. They have free shipping if you order $50 or more, and if you don't like the fabric when you get it, they have free returns.

Fabric.com is my go to. HUGE selection of apparel fabrics in every color you can imagine. They do large swatches for relatively cheap and from what I've experienced, the colors you see online are pretty accurate to the fabric you receive. I definitely always recommend getting swatches first, though, so you can see it in person and perform tests for laundering, seams, etc.

Another store I LOVE is Mood. (moodfabrics.com) They're a designer fabric store, so expect to pay more, but it's all high quality fabric. Their shipping time is excellent as well, and swatches from them are usually only $1 each.

I buy fabric from fabric.com. It's expensive, but I order swatches first. I also go to LA to buy fabric once or twice a year because of this problem. :P

I also go with fabric.com and order swatches first. It means planning ahead so there's time to ship your swatches and then your fabric but my experiences have all been good and there's much more variety. I also order from www.fabricwholesaledirect.com but be warned - they take FOREVER to ship things. But their organza and other fabrics is a higher quality than Joanns, and usually significantly cheaper.
