Dr. Mara Rabin (1002 South Temple) has been amazing. She's warm and empathic, listens carefully, reads up on alternative medicine and is not quick to medicate, always open to discussion, and has given some great referrals to specialists when it was really necessary.

Dr Drage (sp) was awesome the work with. Highland family practice. First doctor I have worked with in over 3 years, once I got insurance I was able to go and get a physical and ask a lot of questions he answered them all was nice, polite and extremely non judgemental.

Dr Woods or Dr Longe both at South Foothill Family Clinic. Dr. Woods has a little bit more emphasis on older patients and occupational medicine but sees the whole gambit. Dr Longe sees both general patients and emphasizes in sports medicine. Both of them are family practice docs. I worked with both of them while on a family medicine rotation for a month as a medical student. edit: not sure if you're looking for a male or female doc, but both are male docs.

What insurance and where do you live?

I use a Physicians Assistant at South Valley Medical Clinic named Hung Gee (no really, that's his name). He's awesome to work with and always gets to the bottom of the problem rather than just treating symptoms. That's something I always look for in a doctor.

I didn't have a primary care physician till after I had a stroke. But Dr. Hill- Garrett is a very good physician. She heirs on the side of caution with her patients. Meaning she just wont prescribe you medicines. But she will refer you to a specialist or after care if needed. Julie my Mom has PEHP and Dr Lym and his associate Dr. Jeffrey Ayers both accept her insurance. They are excellent...their reviews online will show you. I like them because your not just another number, they don't just try and get you in and out in 5 minutes they actually care and are eager to make sure they accurately diagnose you!

I also LOVE my ob/gyn, Dr Gravelle. If your in the market for that:) lol

I'm not into the HSA thing...I just have traditional PPO so as soon as I meet my $250 deductible they pay 80%! But this year I met my out of pocket for the year so my everything is FREE Til' the end of the year!

Anna Peterson is great she is at the foothill clinic. Accepts all families and has a great medical background.

I don't think any of these doctors accept my insurance except Dr. Vierra. Maybe I will have to switch the girls to a new pediatrician. I have heard good things about her. I wish I could find a good family doc that accepts my insurance.

Hello, I'm not familiar with any family practice doctors in the area, but Dr. Shprecher and his office with the Clinical Neurosciences Center at the University of Utah is very familiar with HD and works closely with us. Predictive testing is not something his office does either, so would be able to focus on answering questions instead of explaining the disease to a doctor. I don't know about medical doctor, but when you're ready for a dentist I HIGHLY recommend the dentist I used to work for Dr. Thornell at Smile Wide Dental care... Absolutely amazing, I have never heard any one say a bad thing about him

We love Dr Daynes at the Rose Canyon clinic in Herriman. We have been seeing him for like 10 years. Such a good guy!!

I have been really impressed with Dr Abbot in Salina and Jason Okerlund has been so good with my kids! Something to consider is the hospital they work at I will only go to IHC hospitals they are all intertwined and can work together. I've had my son hooked up to a machine monitoring his heart and a specialist in StG was watching it. Pretty amazing if you ask me.

I highly recommend Dr. Embley in Gunnison! He was so helpful and caring throughout my last pregnancy and has been so good to both my boys!

Dr. Abbott has always been great to my family and me. I would also recommend him. I believe he is now in Monroe and not at the sevier clinic but I could be wrong on that one.

The U health clinics are all over the valley, they have good reviews:) and they have family doctors there just call and ask for the closest location to you

Gotta love my typos. I also use Van Leeuwen Dental for dentist. They are on fort union but pretty awesome.
