Furniture store recommendations? I'm buying furniture in the next few weeks. I'm moving from out of college, so I need everything.
I'm just out of college, so I prefer...

Have you look into furniture for a cause? They have new and used stuff and it helps out those in need. http://www.furnitureforacause.com/

Ikea. You'll get actually nice modern stuff and you can get *everything* you need in one stop. The money you save will even cover the cost of renting a Uhaul and driving it up there. San Antonio doesn't have anything that can compete in the budget space. (Ashley does suck)

Bargain Barn. Don't be put off from their ugly website. They have all kinds of furniture, home decor, etc. I bought a nice, sturdy, white desk there for $75 about three years ago.

I've had great luck at Furniture Row (Sofa Mart, Oak Express, Bedroom Expressions, Denver Mattress Company). Great quality, great price for the quality. For cheap, my friends swear by Big Lots.

I don't know what your budget is but for misc furniture, try Target. They have small desks, tables, shelves that are inexpensive and easy to assemble. For beds, go to Mattress Firm. They have awesome customer service.

I got a really nice sofa at Star furniture, that was less expensive than anywhere else that we went. They had pretty contempory stuff.

I bought Ashley Furniture and I haven't had any issues with it. It also came iwht a complete warranty so if I break anything they will come out and fix it and if it can't be fixed, replace it.

Don't go to Bel furniture. You will regret it, I know I did! I got my kitchen table from Oak Express at furniture row. They were pretty good and answered all of my questions. When the table was delivered, the table top was damaged and they replaced the table top no questions asked. I would recommend Oak Express.

Craigslist! I found my loveseat and sofa on CL. They're really nice and sturdy. Seriously, you can find some awesome stuff there.

Billy Bobs Beds for a bed is seriously the cheapest. If you need office stuff try a place called Desks Galore near Southdown. Furniture like couches and stuff can be found on Craigslist and this site called????. I can't remember the name but it is like Craigslist but primarily military people on it.

When I got my first bits of furniture I went to Big Lots.

What about Ikea? They have a lot of options/designs so that might make up for the location being in Round Rock.

I bought a couch at Sofa Mart. They said it would be 6 weeks. It has been, and they said they don't have it yet. And stop calling, they'll let me know when they get it.
