I lived in Rome for several months in college. I also have relatives who live there. I would suggest you stay closer to the Vatican or the Pantheon as in general they are safer areas, especially at night. Near the Pantheon and the Vatican there tends to be more law enforcement. The Pantheon area is where several celebrities live so it is more of an upscale area. I love the Hotel Abruzzi in the Pantheon area. Residenza Paolo VI near Vatican is nice as well. Also remember that the star system for hotels in Italy is based more on the full service/meals offerings than the quality of the hotel. I would never book a hotel and include meals since it’s hard to get back to hotel for lunch or dinner if you are out exploring. And meals up the cost to you and profit for hotel. Good luck! Stay north of Stazione Termini and be very careful if you take the train from there. Tons and tons of pick pockets and people who will just steal luggage and run. Have a great time.

My husband and I are planning a trip to Vegas. Looking for hotel recommendations and things to do. Thank you in advance!

Planet Hollywood is an awesome place to stay at!
Starr B. replied:
I lived there 5 years. If you want full on Strip experience I suggest Caesars or Bellagio. Great restaurants and shopping. If you want to go cheapo walking distance to the Strip try Wild West Casino (Motel 6) on Tropicana. I personally love Downtown Fremont Experience and Golden Nugget has the best Pool with water slide. Off Strip for a relaxing resort experience I choose Green Valley Ranch or Red Rock.
Karisa B. replied:
We always do old town vegas (aka Fremont) and stay@the Golden Nugget. Were just there last weekend and found this cool bar called Gold Strike down near Fremont. All life sized games for adults (giant Jenga and corn hole, giant size beer pong, tether ball and all sorts of fun games. It was like being at a backyard BBQ but Vegas style - was loads of fun, definitely worth checking out!

Does anyone have a hotel or cabin that they can recommend in Big Bear for my husband & I to get away to? Looking to spend $150/night or less. Thanks so much!
Stephanie H. replied:
The Lagonita Lodge. It is located on the lake and about a five minute drive to the center of town. The rooms are condos with full kitchens, fireplace and balcony. $159 a night and if you inquire about their timeshare (just ask) they'll give you a great discount/free night.
