http://www.cdautocare.com/mobile/index.html Is the car "new to you"? Do you know if you have a maintenance contract with the dealer? No need to pay twice for something if you do have a maint. Cont.

If you just need an oil change: Walmart. That's all they do, and can do, so they won't try to sell you a blinker fluid flush or whatever else the bullshit places always try.

[Sam Lee Auto Repair](http://www.yelp.com/biz/sam-lee-auto-repair-san-diego) Honest and fast! Protip: buy the oil & filter in advance. I get my Mobile 1 synthetic at Costco and filter at the Pep Boys across the street. I've heard they REALLY like beer after work. If you have some major repairs it might help to bring along a twelve pack along to help.

Probably want to say where you are near. There's plenty of good indie shops in various neighborhoods. You don't want to go further than you need to.

Wolf's Foreign Auto - Mike is honest, dependable and doesn't ever upsell or pressure...tells you like it is.

Brand new as in you are the first owner and you purchased at a dealership? You should look into going to the dealership for the service as it might have even been included in the purchase price.

OK, is everyone in San Diego all of a sudden looking for an auto shop? I swear I've seen a version of this question half a dozen times in the last few months... But anyway, I always recommend Convoy Auto Repair, especially if you're not interested in going to the dealer.
Recommendations on whether to go to a independent shop or dealer to get new plugs and oil change for a E93 M3?
Nick O. replied:
Justin Goodding in case you were unaware, I'm a dealer tech of 10+ years at BMW of El Cajon. Granted the prices here are higher but the least I can offer you is top notch service for your M3 by someone who has owned an E90 M3 before. We can also provide a loaner car too. Lemme know if this is of any interest to you.
