Looking for recommendations: dirty, loud, unkempt blues of the 60s-70s on a par with Hound Dog Taylor. Anyone else who sounds that great? pic.twitter.com/YzVOi6BIpV

Depending on what you are looking for I may be able to DJ your wedding. If I didn't think I was a good fit, it's very likely that I could put you in touch with someone who is. If you want to put together a list of musical interests and such I'd be happy to take a look at it. My personal experience with weddings has been for friends and friends of friends over the past 10 years or so, all over the US and in Mexico as well. If you decide to put something together, you can email me at duserock@gmail.comCongrats and Best of Luck:)

He's so good that my sister is considering flying him out to Utah for her wedding.
An old roommate gave a speech that talked about us getting a note from our neighbors about how we sang "bleeding love" at 9:30pm, so he played the chorus from the applause till she got to her seat. He thinks fast on his feet.
At one point, we somehow spontaneously did that thing where you make a human aisle that people dance down. I waved him in, he crushed it and went back to his dj station continue to amaze us. The crowd loved him.
Aside from really knowing his music and reading the crowd well, he's also a genuinely good guy. He literally saved my reception--the original DJ bailed 4 days before the wedding and he gave up his scheduled day-off to help.
The comment I got most about my reception was "your DJ is amazing!"
We had a sub 15k city wedding and he fit into our budget.
He's affordable, professional, and basically the best.

I'm using Santa Cruz DJ. I wanted someone who was on board with our refusal to play "Celebrate" "Twist & Shout" or "We Are Family." I found my guy. He totally understood what we were looking for.

Nate Seider (http://www.caliberdjs.com) was amazing for our wedding (reception at Rosa Mexicano, so similar setup to your wedding); He was personable, detail/oriented and the perfect balance of independent and accommodating, when it came to selecting and playing music. Happy to make an intro, if you want — feel free to PM me.
