He is from the LA area and I do not know how far he can go but he was amazing.. he even replaced a 4 x10 beam at no charge and you can not even tell it has been repaired. We loved his work. Mel Kong, it's a vinyl plank not wood. But you are right anyway because the water can seep in the joints and wet the underlayment. It might not swell but probably wouldn't dry.
