SideDoor in CDM or LSXO in HB. Cocktails are great at both places. Only go to LSXO if you like rap music. https://www.yelp.com/biz/lsxo-huntington-beach-2https://www.yelp.com/biz/sidedoor-corona-del-mar

Just moved to the area. Can anyone recommend some of my favorite things? I like: Compact Discs, Vegan restaurants, Absinthe, Car stuff, Electronics, Outdoor Activities,...
I believe you can purchase these so-called "Compact Discs" at Second Spin in Costa Mesa. Seriously, it's a good value. Used CDs are $7-$8 and it's usually buy two, get one free.

There's a place that opened up near my work in Anaheim called Healthy Junk that offers vegan food. I love my meat but damn this stuff tastes amazing.

For absinthe and other classic cocktails, I'd recommend The Cellar in Downtown Fullerton and 320 Main in Seal Beach.

Thuyen Vien in Anaheim is seriously underrated. There are a few Loving Hut restaurants around. They're not bad. But they're also kinda creepy with all the cult stuff everywhere. Aforementioned Native Foods/Veggie Grill are very good. You can get (some form of) absinthe at places like BevMo/Total Wine. But absinthe is a terrible drink. You should try great local beer instead! I highly recommend Bootleggers (they're in Fullerton, close to the Metrolink station) and The Bruery Provisions in Orange. Both breweries are almost entirely vegan (they each have a brew with honey in it) and are great to hang out at. The Bruery Provisions allows you to get samplers of various beers.

There's a vegan restaurant in Santa Ana that I love going to near my school called Gypsy Den. There's another elsewhere, don't remember where. However, great restaurant, great company. Also in the artist's village that have art walks occasionally. However, it's in Santa Ana, so it gets a little sketchy at night.
