Anyone have recommendations for a long term dog sitter in the SCV? Open to kennels but would prefer a private home or someone who would stay at our place for 10 days.

Amanda Aleman will come to your house and hang with your dog, take him for a walk daily. Or even twice a day. Let me know if you want her number. She takes care of our dog and he loves her. She send us photos etc.
Castaic Canine Camp. Very nice, small. Dogs have a good time.

When I needed someone to stay at my house when my dogs were elderly, I called my vet. There were people that worked there that were happy to stay at the house and take care of my old fella. I trusted them and it was a great arrangement. If something happened and the dog got ill, I told them to take them to work and I gave them a certain amount of money they could put on the Credit Card which was on file at the Vet! WIN WIN!! I use Saugus Animal Hospital and most of those that I had stay at the house have moved on. I now board my young beast at Canine Country Club!!!

For boarding we recommend and use Paradise Ranch in Sun Valley - been using them for many years - cage-free, great staff, great grounds with splash pools, on-site groomer, trainer, etc.

Bouquet Canyon Kennels. My daughter works there. The kennels are large and they are great with special needs animals. http://www.bouquetcanyonkennels.com/

Does anyone have any suggestions...we have two small dogs and will be going out of town for a week. Is there any pet sitting services out there that are inexpensive?...
Kellyn S. replied:
Rover.com. It's like care.com and sittercity etc. but for pet sitting. You look at bios on the site of pet sitters in our area and contact them set up a meet and greet and book your sitting through the diet it's sell insured etc. that's how we always do it and leave our pets at their house you get pics and updates. You can have them come to your house. The average is $25 a day for one day and then most of them do a second dog for $15 a day additional that's a good rate for this. It cost us $130 when we went off our Memorial Day trip
Angela T. replied:
Kelly Lankford, check with your veterinarian. Our vet will board animals for a minimum amount.
