I moved here five years ago and was totally in a similar situation as you. I have dirty blonde hair that I like to keep "mostly blonde" and was so nervous to find a new salon. Being French, I have a very weird assortment of light and dark hair! I had **many** disastrous salon visits before finding the perfect salon home. My first salon told me that my hair was too "over-processed" (definitely not true) and that I should strip out all blonde, cut it off and get extensions (WTF!) while another gave me decent highlights but set me back over $400. I was loyal to another spot for awhile, but as soon as I gave in to "a few lowlights", I sadly no longer looked like a blonde. Even though the salon insisted that the darker shade blended in and grew out more smoothly, it just wasn't me. My new home is Object Salon. It's on Ocean Park in Santa Monica. It is such a clean, zen salon and everyone who works there couldn't be nicer. I always leave feeling like my hair is so healthy and the exact color and cut that I want (and reasonably priced.) It's pretty easy to find parking within a block or so and that area is full of cute spots to get coffee or lunch so you can make a day of it. http://www.objectsalon.com/

I go to Sura Radcliffe at Studio 7 on Wilshire at Bundy. She is great with blondes, hilarious/tons of fun, very honest and realistic when I get a little overly ambitious with what I want. Adore her, now a bunch of my friends see her too because they love my hair!

I've been going to Craig at Luxelab for 15 years. Everyone in that salon is nothing short of amazing.

I'm actually going to [Ramirez Tran](http://instagram.com/ramireztransalon) to get exactly that done this weekend so I will be able to let you know how it goes on Saturday! But from their blog/instagram I think it is safe to say that they do a great job. P.S. It is in Beverly Hills and they specialize in that blonde, beachy, sunkissed look.
It's official - my hairstylist is gone and won't be returning. So I need a new one that can get me back to my purple highlights and know how's to work with super thin...

V Vegaz on Delmar does hair for men and women and has curly hair experts. I wish I could say my hair looks good no matter where I go but they are the experts at taming my mane and keeping it looking good until I finally go back for the next haircut since it seems I'm overdue.

My wife went to Valerie Brown at Thirteenth and Washington downtown. Wife is as curly as it comes and she was fantastic. Highly recommend.

Julie, at Salon Lofts in Maplewood. She specializes in curly hair, and I can't recommend her more. Been seeing her for nearly ten years now - she's never been late, had to cancel an appointment, etc. Love her. https://www.vagaro.com/julieatloftstudios/about
