Holly H. replied:
I'm not sure which insurance they take, but Integrative Medical Clinic of Santa Rosa (IMCSR) is amazing. They don't push pharmaceuticals, in fact try to get you off unnecessary ones. They're very much into mind/body connection...they treat the whole person, not just the symptoms. They have MDs and Naturopathic doctors as well.
Satya L. replied:
Maybe try https://www.facebook.com/187552544610878 Santa Rosa Community Health? I don't know specific docs there, but I know they also offer alternative therapies, so I imagine they're more open to it, in general.

There is a community animal clinic in Farmer's Branch that is worth the drive! They have saved us so much money! It's first come, first served. I know it's off the Valwood exit on I-35. It's 14021 Denton Drive. 972-247-2221. The vets are great. (And they are do much cheaper than the community clinic in Lewisville.) Good luck!

Catherine P. replied:
Old orchard animal clinic- Dr Kirby, my cat had an abcess from a bite, he had to drain it and give her a shot, he had to keep her overnight that time but it was still just over a hundred bucks, most of our visits there are around 80 bucks but he'll get straight to the point, doesn't pad your bill with unnecessary things, doesn't make you feel guilty or shameful like some vets in the area (my cats were strays, they are indoor outdoor and I've had 2 vets scold me about letting them out... ) he's a good guy!

Catherine P. replied:
Kyra does your cat go outside? If it does, and its a bite, it could be infected but the length of time you said (a few months) would mean it turned into an abcess, this can end up fatal in animals as the infection will continue to get worse and end up causing sepsis, get him into a vet ASAP if there's any chance it was a puncture wound from another cat. When this happened to me (twice now... my kitty thinks she's a badass) Dr Kirby had to drain it once and the other time she needed an antibiotic shot, and take home antibiotics both times.

My doctor in Montebello was Dr. Gruenberg-about 6' 6" tall. His son, JOEL, was in MHS class of 1969. The doctor's office was on Whittier Blvd and Hay street. I can still smell that alcohol in his office (ugh) and see him smoking a cigarette as he chatted with my folks in his office. OUCH! those butt injections hurt !

Dr.Clyde Bergman was our family doctor for many, many years. He was a very interesting man. Not only was he a physician, Dr. Bergman was a noted photographer, particularly of birds and wildlife worldwide. He was born and raised in Africa. Famed physical anthropologist Louis Leakey baptised him.:
Gail G. replied:
Dr. Bergman was our family doctor for close to 40 years...wonderful man and dedicated doctor. He would always spend time telling me stories; as you mentioned Jerry Brown, about his trips to such places as the Amazon and North Pole as the medical doctor for the group for the Smithsonian . Dave McCoy, the brains behind Mammoth ski resort, and him were buddies. Dave would take Doctor Bergman up the hill on a tractor before there were chair lifts. He could out ski me when he was in 70 s! Miss him as much as a friend as a doctor.
Jerry B. replied:
Thank you for the additional info about Dr. Bergman, Gail and Gary.

Dr. Bergman was may Dr. as well. He was a VERY busy Dr. and did things at, mostly, a dead run. In 1990 or so, he was in surgery for my stomach operation even though he didn't perform surgeries. He just cared and wanted to be there.
