Workers that tend these vineyards will also need support and most are undocumented and many will not have access to the support services such as unemployment, FEMA, etc. Donations can be made to www.undocufund.org which is targeting the assistance to them
Napa wineries for large groups? Hi all - I'm doing a wine tasting tour with 16 friends for my 30th birthday in a couple weeks and was wondering if anyone has...
swbooking replied:
We just went for a friends birthday and had about 14 people total. I'd say we were decently rowdy and we had no problems at all with this itinerary:
* [Domaine Carneros](http://www.yelp.com/biz/domaine-carneros-napa) | Started here. Best to make a reservation for a large party. We sat outside, great views. One caveat... To purchase wine by the bottle here, you must be a member. One of the people in the group figured it was worth it and signed up right there. I'd still recommend them regardless.
* [V. Sattui](http://www.yelp.com/biz/v-sattui-winery-saint-helena) | Busy but has beautiful grounds. Huge grass and picnic area with some benches and tables, so its a good stop for lunch. They also do BBQ there you can purchase.
* [Alpha Omega](http://www.yelp.com/biz/alpha-omega-winery-rutherford) | Great wines, but the guy that helped us was a little stern at first, then we sat outside in the garden area and we were free to be as rowdy as we wanted. Even brought out the Hookah...
* [Peju](http://www.yelp.com/biz/peju-province-winery-rutherford) | Probably one of my favorite. A little smaller but the help was fantastic in accommodating us. We got a private tasting upstairs and later went outside and had some cake at a table. Great place to end the day.
Also, can't go wrong with [Gott's](http://www.yelp.com/biz/gotts-roadside-napa) for burgers and a shake to top off the day!
*edit:*
* [Castillo di Amoroso](http://www.yelp.com/biz/castello-di-amorosa-calistoga) Is a pretty cool place to visit and tour. It's modeled after a 12^th - 13^th century Tuscan castle.
* [Schramsberg](http://www.yelp.com/biz/schramsberg-vineyards-calistoga) Is an awesome winery, specializing in sparkling wines. You will need a specific [group reservation](http://www.schramsberg.com/groups.html) and its a little on the expensive side, but well worth the included 75 minute tour and tasting.

Every time I go to Cline Cellars there are always tons of loud, rowdy groups. The property is large with tables and lots of little tucked away spots.
Wedding venues in sonoma county Hello, my fiancé and I are looking for an outdoor wedding venue for next June. We're collage students so cost is of big concern. Any...

My wife and I got married about two years ago in Armstrong Woods. Highly recommended. I think we paid a couple hundred bucks for the day. It's nature's cathedral!
Plumhawk replied:
Check out Jack London State Park. My cousin got married up there. Not sure what it cost but they didn't have a large budget. If it's an evening or night wedding, you'd need your own generator and lights. Also, my nephew just got married this morning at the Deturk Round Barn. Not outdoor but very open and sunny.

My friends got married at Duncans Landing at the State Park. They had to arrange things with the ranger but I don't recall there being much more than that.

If your wedding doesn’t have to be huge you could look into “elopement packages”. They can save you a ton and are usually in some of the nicest locations.

Congrats on your wedding! If you have not found a photographer I would love work with y’all! I just recently finished at SSU where I studied photography. I would love to work with you and capture your special day!

No clue what the pricing is like, but I used to work at a place in Guerneville named Dawn Ranch. It has a really nice wedding venue.

Villa Chanticleer in Healdsburg is super nice. My friend just got married and had his reception there.

You might consider a group picnic site at a state or regional park. My husband and I got married at Tilden park (meadows picnic site) in Berkeley and I think it was something like $55 for the day. The spot was secluded/private, had its own restrooms, and picnic tables so we didn't need to rent a porta-potty or tables and chairs (our guest list was small).

My wife and I got married at the DeTurk Round Barn which was very cheap for the venue, but it isn't outdoor. We had looked at The Bridal Path on Irwin Lane in north west Santa Rosa which was a really cute outdoor venue. The guy had some very specific demands with regards to using the property, and wasn't a good fit for us, but he may be for you. Worth looking into!

Anderson Hall in Camp Meeker. It's super nice in June and it's really affordable. Nice big deck that overlooks the creek too.

There is a place btwn Occidental and Bodega called OceanSong I believe. It’s a wildlife refuge and super gorgeous. You have to provide everything yourself in terms of vendors and rentals. It it’s pretty cheap. Kinda hippy

Crane Melon Barn on Petaluma Hill Rd is my suggestion. Next to a vineyard, easy to get to, and very reasonably priced, atleast it was when I got married there 10 years ago. They even have our wedding album there to show potential customers.
SwagChemist replied:
I recommend going wine tasting to see if perhaps one of the wineries around here would be a good host to your wedding.

The Flamingo on 4 th street in Santa Rosa is a great location. Retro decor, beautiful poolside ceremony, ballroom for the reception and tons of catering options. Very reasonably priced as well.

Isis Oasis in Geyserville is nice. Commercial kitchen, outdoor areas, lodging, private cabins, camping, pool and hot tub.

We had our wedding (4 years ago) at http://lutherburbankartandgardencenter.com/ One hint: when you reserve any place for a wedding, don't ever tell them it is a wedding. Tell them it is a BBQ or a large family party or ANYTHING other than a wedding. When we doing our research we found that most places had a "special" rate for weddings. We were told that a wedding had a higher cost to clean up afterwards so they had to charge more. Sometimes a LOT more.
narwhalyurok replied:
There is a small church with attached hall in Cotati. In Bodega Bay there is a private property garden for rent. Depending on wedding size Howarth Park, Spring Lake are options. Ragle Park in Sebastopol.

My brother is getting married at the bennet valley guild, indoor and outdoor space available. Lots of old growth oaks and moss. Very old building with lots of character. For a four day rental it is costing them $1,200!!!! The people who run it are super relaxed too, very easy to work with. Good luck with your search!!

A little levity 'cause we need it! Someone put a costume on the Hamel Family Winery badger and I think it's the best! Hope you get a kick out of it too!
