I second Amy's Telepan- but also Artisanal, Boqueria for tapas, and Cafe Sabarsky if you're uptown...all great

Well, all you metro-savvys! It turned out that we had last-minute baby-sitting duty and time-wise couldn't manage our intention to explore new frontiers with our good friend from Peru and went along with his recommendation: www.dbbistro.com/nyc/about/
chef shawn get's them often at the oak room tavern. they are affordable and locally sourced. they will post on FB when they are serving them. I think you can also get decent ones at Roslyn Seafood Market on Willis Ave.

My husband orders chicken parm EVERY TIME we go out to eat Italian style. He says that..hands down..Vincents Clam Bar is the best chick parm ..easily. and i actually agree.

Another thumbs up for La Bussola. Service can be old school (aka slow), but excellent food, very consistent, amenable to just about any request I can think of. Personally, I think their Chicken Scarpariello is the best around.
