My parents and sister are coming to visit in the summer and need a place to stay. Any suggestions for a nearby bed and breakfast or hotel?
Pano P. replied:
I looked around last summer when my folks were coming. There is honestly very little. They don't do breakfast, but each suite has a kitchen and they are very reasonably priced for what they offer and location. If you meet the 6-night minimum. http://www.shirleymarvin.com/

Hi James, we do Airbnb at our home too and have some summer dates available. We will have our lower floor including another full bath renovated by then too so the space will be updated and great for multiple guests. If they are interested let me know what dates and I can update our calendar. Thanks! https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/1457330

My dear friends up the road (on Beacon Ave near Orcas) have an adorable small cottage that my folks stayed in while visiting last year:) https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/108765 It's really best for a single person or a couple because of how small it is but if you're just looking for an affordable, quiet and cozy place to sleep.... It's perfect! Their garden is so beautiful and it's right off of the bus line as well:) cheers!

Seattle B&B'ers - I'm going to be in Seattle next week for the first time. Any suggestions for things to do/places to go?
Everett S. replied:
Not in Seattle, but it's one of my favorite places in the whole world. A few suggestions: The Washington Park Arboretum has an incredible web of trails and beautiful botanic gardens. Go for a walk through there out to Foster and Marsh Islands (connected by bridges). The main branch of the Seattle Public library is in a super cool giant modern building. Get some coffee, explore the stacks, read a book, and enjoy the amazing architecture. The EMP museum always has a lot of fun and interesting exhibits. Well worth the money. Best sandwich of my life was at Honeyhole Sandwiches on E Pike Street. Taking a Ferry out to Bainbridge island is great if you have a whole day to spend there. If so, J'aime Le Crepes has delicious sweet and savory crepes. Get lost in the giant REI store. All the typical tourist stuff is fun too, like going to the Space Needle, Kerry Park (pictures from there are like the Myspace angle of Seattle), Pike Place Market, etc. I'm sure natives will have a lot more ideas.
Hi! I'm considering traveling nursing and was looking into housing options! What does everyone recommend? Renting an apt/air b&b/RV living?
Susan T. replied:
Rent a hotel for first week then go look at places in person. Airbnb VRBO Craigslist (post your own ad), hospital break room, ask in orientation, real estate companies, apt complexes.
