Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced exterminator. We are having problems with mice/rats running down our fence. We live off the greenbelt.

Marjy MacKenzie LaGesseOn the serious side, you may want to see if you can find fox urine. Gross I know, but any urine that is a natural predator should keep them away.

Be very careful what is used. Many times poison is used and if another animal touches, picks up etc the dead or dying rat, they can die as well. Saw it happen to our neighbors labs. Picked up a newly deceased rat and ended up in ICU for 9 days. A great way to handle that yourself is to put fox urine in small containers on cotton balls, like pill bottles. Place it on the fence and they will leave. Fox is a predator of rats. You can get it at a feed store or even Bass Pro shop.

We had a problem with mice and the bait boxes that the pest people put out didn't really do anything so I got a Rodent Terminator at Amazon.com after a recommendation from a friend. It works very well! You put some pet food in the box and the mouse walks in the trap and it zaps them dead.

Try using Food Grade diatomaceous earth. Pet friendly, will dry out the exoskeleton of the insect. Great for fleas too. Try GNC , or amazon.com . look it up. Many great uses.

well the humane trap i just sent you a link for on amazon.com has several types of humane traps to choose from, some of which hold more mice than others. they are cheap and they can then be set outside to release them elsewhere.
