General Practitioners in Sedona, AZ

If you want an M.D., Susan Rychlik is a good bet; Nurse Practitioner - Sheila Navidi in Dr. Adler's office; P.A. Linda Haggard. For a biological dentist, unfortunately you have to go down to Phoenix (Dr. Margolis or Butler), but if you go that far, why not travel to Tijuana and save some $$$? In my experience, it is challenging to find a conventional dentist who is at all versed in alternative dental practices around here. I'd be thrilled to be wrong!

I've experienced and heard mixed about Linda Haggard. Not trying to bash here! Truly. I would also recommend Jessica Hayman. She is Naturopathic and very thorough.

I've got Health Net Insurance and have to go to Phoenix for a decent primary care doctor who does integrative health. I love Dr. Sina in Cornville and still go to her even though I have to pay out of pocket. Worth it.

Dr. Jessica Hayman - www.drhayman.com. She is a wonderful naturopathic doctor and person. I can't speak highly enough sbout her - she epitomizes what health care is about.

Dentist - Dr. Steven Wright. Been going to him for almost 20 years. Best dentist I've ever had.

Danette Wolpert Anna Wolyn at Choices Integrative Medicine in Sedona is the first doctor I have seen since the early 90s. Don't like the typical doctor with their prescription pads at the ready because they don't really know what else to do. I don't believe them, don't believe IN them, and have never found one I respected. She is the first doctor I have EVER been to that knows what she's talking about. She listens to everything very closely... you can see the wheels turning as her brain goes to work. She respects my opinion, and is always seeking answers to WHY something is out of balance. She does not try to force me into taking prescription drugs which do not work for me, because that is just not her way, and she knows I will NOT take them. There is always another answer with Anna. She's like a psychic detective. Hunting through all the lab work, the reports I give her, diagnosing my issues while she finds what's out of balance, and FIXES it. And a side benefit after starting her recommended supplements, I feel better than I have in 20 years and I lost 40 pounds in 4 months when we weren't even trying. She fixed my crashed adrenals, and got me sleeping again after 20 years of NOT sleeping from jacked-up cortisol issues. Sorry to go on so long, but Anna is beautiful inside and out. You will never hear me say this about any other doctor, even those who are are friends and/or clients. I LOVE THIS LADY.

We've had good experiences with Dr. Susan Wilkinson. She takes Medicare.

Dr. Picco, was in Sedona, he is now in Flagstaff, what is not so far. He is very thorough and very fast to get back with test results.

I look up Dr. Susan Wilkinson, and it seems she is in Cottonwood. I am really looking for a Sedona doctor.

I can't recommend Stacy Davidson enough! Professional. .educated..knows alot of great healers in town..up to date on the latest in medicine..

I like Lester Adler, MD in West Sedona. A Penn man.

I am a retired older woman and I did not care for Dr. Gonzales. I think in asking for a GP probably should put out what is important to you. For example do you want some one who is an internist or a nurse practitioner. I would like to find a MD who is not best friends with drug sale staff and knows local specialists so can do information referrals. Knows nutrition and natural remedies. And a woman who lives and works in Verde Valley. English as a first language, nice clean professional office. But even with all of this, we still need to factor in patient and doctor personality. My parents and I are all patients of James Arthur, MD. His office is part of Family Health Providers, on South Willard across the highway from Verde Valley Medical Center. I have been happy with him and all the specialists (Cardio, Gastrointestinal, Optical) that he has referred me to. I am open and out about my sexual orientation with his entire staff, and they do not bat an eye. He is ~54 years old.

We have Susan Wilkenson, MD in Bell Plaza on 89A. Also considers alternative paths. Not sure if still taking new patients but worth asking. She is excellent and conversed with patients

I work for Copper Canyon in Camp Verde. We are contracted with all the insurance companies from the exchanges if that is where you got the insurance. But there is a Dr Gonzales in VOC who is good. Couple others. Also depending on insurance you may have to choose a "primary care provider" vs internal medicine it all depends. Feel free to IM me and I can help- that is my job - insurance and doctors!
