Here you go. My DDS Thomas Wingarden (559) 447-3020, has a specialist that comes to his office once a month. I had a root canal done & no ins for me either. The cost was about $800 compared to $1,200 - $1,500. in the specialist office.

An endodontist does root canals and we refer to the Fresno Endodontic Group on west Herndon. Their # is 437-7120. They charge approximately $1400 for a molar root canal.

There are s lot of Surgeons on town. When I was working we referred to Jonkers, Northrop & Van Wangon. On Herndon or there is Wiggins and Alexander on Dakota and First. Both excellent places. Dr. Northrop is a DDS and. a MD. Which tooth is it?

A molar then. Honestly I don't know anyone that would do it for a lot less and do a good job. In this instance you really do get what you pay for. Please don't go to western dental or done other cut-rate non specialist. Another good one is right in Clovis. We've had patients see him and have had a great experience. He's right in Clovis. We refer to the Oral surgeons in the Atrium. They're very good and reasonable. Their # is 431-4220. If you can take a copy of the X-ray from the dentist it will save you $.

Dr. Pacheco in Fresno. She's like right across the street from where you used to work. She's amazing, so patient and nice. They have TVs everywhere to keep the kids entertained and she doesn't put them under for fillings, which I like because I'm not all that comfortable with general anesthesia.

If a child is on nitrous they might let you back but not while being put under. Do NOT take them to a dentist who does sedation dentistry in office, it is not safe. They should be put under by an anesthesiologist! Dr. Elick she mentioned above does sedation dentistry in office and has lost more than 1 child due to them having an allergic reaction to the drug and not having a Dr. present to deal with the situation. The American Dental Association says sedation dentistry is not safe practice for a child. Please make sure it's done correctly either in a hospital setting or surgery center where there are anesthesiologists, RN's and even Doctors on had to handle situations. Fresno Dental Surgery Center does use Anesthesiologist's but don't do the best work. If a child is being put under you will not be allowed with them, it is to be done in a sterile setting.

I worked in a Children's dentist office for 15 years. We did not allow parents in the room because kids act better without the parents with them. You need to find a dentist that you trust. Children pick up on the parents fears and get scared when the parents don't trust. Dr Andrea Berryhill is an Excellent pedo dentist. She is in Fresno.

I've started taking my daughter's to Dr Sandu here in selma... they most of the time can get them in that day and are very kid friendly. Staff isn't that great, like chitchatty but as long as my daughter's were taken care of, ya know. They're pretty good in a pinch, really good at working with every schedule. I've switched from our old dentist to these peeps...I'm happy so far. Infact my daughter just had 2 teeth extracted this afternoon, not a year was shed.

Don't go to the smile center in Kingsburg. Dr. Fareid committed insurance fraud to my dental insurance. I'm putting a claim thru the state of California Board so it will appear on his record. It just takes time.

I know it isnt in Selma but I just asked for a good recommendation two days ago and was told Dr. Rountree in Kingsburg. Went to meet him and his staff the next day. Defiantly recommend him.

As a RDA I will only take my kids to a pediatric dentist, regular dentists are not use to dealing with kids behaviors or even baby teeth in general. I take my kids to Central California Children's Dentistry in Fresno, they are great!
