Looking for a nice restaurant that is kid friendly (elementary age) and where we can get a glass of wine/beer. We've done Amici's and Road House too many times.

Fado is excellent Portuguese. Very small though. Cafe Buenos Aires is good Argentinian, fairly lively. Gets loud though. I've heard that Osteria Nino has been reconfigured and now has a more lively front bar. Good Italian. Beware parking here has reached nightmarish proportions with the entire lot opp post ofc closed for restoration. Have fun!
Calling all of my Colorado-area peeps: What restaurants in Colorado Springs (where I lived eons ago, in the early 1980s) would you recommend? One of my Japanese...
Molly M. replied:
I'm from Colorado Springs, but I didn't really discover Japanese food until I moved to Fort Collins. A friend who still lives in Colo. Springs recommends Sushi Ring (1861 S. Nevada Ave.), and it has good reviews online. Might be worth a try!

Further from this friend: "I like the Famous and Mackenzie's (both steakhouses), The Rabbit Hole (Colorado-type, some wild game, lamb, etc.) Edelweiss (German), Carlos' Bistro (fancy schmancy) and Blue Star (tall food) is fun. People go nuts for this tapas place called Nosh, but I don't like it. For something more casual, there is a fun cafe/drinks place called Shuga's, Sonterra (a Mexican Fusion place), and McCabe's (English/Irish pub)." I have no idea what "tall food" is.
