http://www.beva.org.uk/_uploads/documents/baedt-member-list-for-beva-31.03.14.pdf The above link may be of use as it lists all qualified EDT's that are recognised by BEVA. I would like to point out that ANYONE can call themselves an EDT and not need qualifications. While Bill Lomas is very good he isn't actually qualified and recognised by BEVA - like most EDT's. It is also worth noting that ANYTHING to do with soft tissue (tooth extraction etc (I believe)) is a vet matter anyway, even in the mouth. Not meant as a bitchy post just informative.

Debby M. replied:
Beth Taylor Bill is very highly qualified to the point where vets come to him for advice! He dosnt have anything to do with BEVA 'anymore' through his own choice, as they want him to convert to Power tools as routine which he strongly disagrees with! BEVA stands for British Equine 'Veterinary' Association, Bill is NOT a vet he is a Dentist. Its all politics.
Maisie F. replied:
Keith Evans!!! Brilliant
Gill S. replied:
I just wanted to clarify a couple of points that were made earlier about BEVA and the Dentistry exam as they are a bit misleading and not particularly helpful. In order to be a Qualified Equine Dental Technician you need to have passed an exam to be Defra Category 2 qualified. There are only 2 exams, 1 is the BEVA exam and one is set by the Worldwide Association of Equine Dental Technicians (WWAED). I don't believe there are any any Cat 2 WWEAD members in Devon or Cornwall though. When someone has passed the BEVA dentistry exam they can join the British Association of Equine Dental Technicians (BAEDT). The exam is run by BEVA in conjunction with the BAEDT. In each practical exam, there is aN examiner who is an EDT and an examiner who is a vet
