Since I haven't been back to Skokie in a long time, how about some current recommendations for restaurants & fast food places

Old Orchard has Cheese Cake Factory, Cal. Pizza Kitchen, standard stuff. If you really want a good meal...try Grazzianos..its acutally in Niles...Just five minutes down Touhy Av.

Love love love Las Fuentes on Waukegan North of Castle Honda in Morton Grove, Tava Indian on Dempster and Harlem (also Morton Grove), the Curragh Irish Pub on Lincoln across from the old Skokie Police station. The new Pita Inn on Dempster where Barnum and Bagel was.... Makisu sushi on Touhy and Carpenter(Central) across from Holiday Inn. The list goes on and on....
Of course Poochies & Hubs but Libertad on Lincoln across from Skokie theatre is excellent for a nicer awesome dinner also Psitaria Taverna on Touhy in Lincolnwood for great Greek food. Bon Appetit!

Wholly Frijoles on Touhy and East Prairie in Lincolnwood. Great food, great prices BYOB.

A good restaurant in Skokie for steaks is EJs on Skokie Blvd. before Glenview rd. it's pricy but good. So is McCormick and Scmidts in Old Orchard and There is the Bagel in old orchard too!
Can anyone recommend a good Indian restaurant in the area to have lunch? How is Mt. Everest? Places on Devon?

Mt. Everesti is a good choice for lunch. They serve a lunch buffet. A friend recommended India Garden and Tiffin - both are on Devon.

We've gone to Mr. Everest for years. We also venture to Devon. I think we're lucky in Evanston to have a place like Mt. Everest for authentic Indian flavors, good service, and convenience.
