In SF I always go to Lanark vet, blueberry creek in Perth is good too. Ottawa area I would suggest Dr Macintosh at Algonquin animal hospital... The fees are higher but he's an amazing doctor. As far as what it could be I have no idea but best see a vet ASAP:( good luck

If you need a vet- we use Sue Martin at North Lanark Vet.. It's about a half hour from town but worth it!! Price is good from small stuff to the big stuff lol When Bruin ate his giraffe and almost died that's where we took him! Good luck.
