Does anyone know of a ground-level 2-bedroom apartment that is for rent anywhere (Monroe, Snohomish, Marysville, Arlington, etc...)? We need to make sure that landlord...

If the sign at the door says "Service Animals Only" why should't someone have to prove that it's truly a service animal? I'm not saying they have to prove what their disability is, but their animal should have some kind of ID that is visible...like a said, a vest or a tag. There's no reason that someone with anxiety can't at least have a tag on their dogs collar

I just said that I don't have a problem with animals - ANYWHERE. But, I also posted the ADA law and there are rules against that. So, if something bothers you in the stores - report it. If the manager doesn't know the law - tell him about it. There are MANY things going on in the stores that I don't appreciate and have more concerns over, than having an animal there, but that is just me. If you don't like something - file a complaint!

Kalisa Jenne-Fraser ~~ obtuse - glad there is still use for a good old fashion thesaurus .... I was speaking about the non service animals brought into stores and the abuse of it - horse and lama were examples... making a point as to what is ok and what is not... not sure what you find discriminating or bias on my part ... dogs off leash are off leash and against the law, was it that? I even said service animals are the ones I see following the laws, and have absolutely no issues with. Was it the animals being by a food prep station?? because they are if they pass within so many feet of it ... again laws about this for non service animals -- so it must be the ~ you are the service animal... to bad so sad~ but I am entitled to my opinion and it is true as well.... if you are pushing a creature of any form around you are acting as service to the animal... It is sad you feel the need to be rude and call people ignorant because they are tired of the abusive behavior of the laws by some... also congratulation - up until you, everyone has acted adult and expressed themselves in a civilized no name calling manor... and assuming I may be ignorant of anything (ADA laws) just makes you look stupid. You do not know me or what I do or do not know Please keep your comments to an adult civil manner ~

So, just because it's an untrained "service animal" it's ok to have them in a cart where someone that uses the cart next might have an allergy? It's ok for them to pee and poop and not clean it up (Like Quinn saw at Fred Meyers today?) If they are usin g a motorized cart they should keep the dog on their lap, or at their feet at all times . If they are small enough they should use a carrier. They should never be allowed in a cart where the next customer is putting their food. When my mother in law's minivan had electrical issues at Costco a couple of years ago and smoke was rolling inside we couldn't bring her dog in with us unless she was in a carrier. That should be the rule at all stores to protect others. Just because someone has a disability doesn't mean that their dog should be allowed to pee and poop wherever they want. I'm not insensitive to people with disabilities. My best friend has Cerebral Palsy but she doesn't use her disability as an excuse or ask for special treatment. Even though she has a disability she also has issues with people bringing dogs into her mom's store and not behaving, and people don't clean up when their dog leaves a mess

So, according to that site, the lady that let her dog poop on the floor at Fred Meyer yesterday should have been asked to removed her dog: A person with a disability cannot be asked to remove his service animal from the premises unless: (1) the animal is out of control and the animal’s owner does not take effective action to control it (for example, a dog that barks repeatedly during a movie) or (2) the animal poses a direct threat to the health or safety of others. Feces, whether from an animal or human, poses a health risk to others
Kalisa J. replied:
Mitch Ruth, here is a link that may help you. Landlords can ask for a letter from a healthcare provider proving that they need accommodation but may not inquire as to the nature of the disability. The law is most likely written this way to protect persons' with disabilities privacy and to prevent discrimination based on the nature of the disability. http://www.landlordassoc.org/.../WhatLandlordsShouldKnowA...
This is my moms store at 1112 first street. (Says Penobscot in front of door)
In the early 2000s it used to be a restaurant.
Does anyone know what it was called or who...

Melinda Baena, they use this real Mexican cheese. It's to die for. I've never had it ANYWHERE else. They are way beyond loaded nachos, packed with all the fixins. & You can have chicken, steak or even both. Topped with sour cream and guac. And to top it off, their customer service can't be beat. As soon as you walk in, your family. Seriously. They'll joke & laugh with you and remember you the next time your in. Also just the cherry on top, when you go for dinner... as soon as you walk in your offered free hot handmade corn tortillas with salsa wrapped up inside. Made right in front of you. Favorite Mexican restaurant by far. But their nachos, best I've ever had. And I'm not over exaggerating at all.lol
