Gluten-free can be a bit hit and miss in my experience. The odd time I have seen it in restaurants. But the I don't recall where. I think the supermarket Hit has a range. And www.zoya.bg also have a selection. Recently I found gf pasta in Billa. I also found the drogerie DM has some good alternatives. My favourite is their rice flakes instead of using oats.

I can recommend you this little sweet shop - "Vanilla kitchen" http://vanillka.com/, address: 22 Buenos Aires street, Dianabad. They mostly offer cheesecakes, muffins, etc. but I saw that they could also provide homemade bread. Unfortunately, I don't see an English version of the website.

Amanda Bakery (natural), over near the Military Hospital, is easily the best bakery I've been to here. They did my birthday cake to order (they also speak English!!) and all of my friends lost their minds.

Hello. Does anyone know if there any baking / cake decorating workshops in Sofia ?
Thanks
Meryll O. replied:
There's a cake decorating shop on ul. Han Asparuh (section between ul. Angel kutchev and Rakovska): should you not be able to find a workshop in Sofia, you can at least get all the supplies there, and make your own workshop with the help of a youtube channel ;)
