Morning All,
I am a real newbie and am about to dip my toe in the water and import my dream '66 Mustang from the States. Obviously a little wary of this as I am buying...
I used an inspection service listed on carsonline.com They sent about 150 photos and drove the car etc. I also used Hills Shipping. Door to door service, 5% tax and no issues.

I used Kingstown Shipping in Hull, but they deliver into southern ports too, depending on where your car ships from. One word of advice: do NOT ship out of Newark docks. They have a terrible reputation, from stealing and vandalising cars to the feds siezing cars which have any little glitches in the paperwork.

Hi Blair, suggest you email jenny at Peters & May Global Logistics. My corvette was imported on historic basis and it was very straight forward. She will handle everything for you. her email is jenny@pm-gl.com.

I used Hills Shipping which was very straight forward and easy, they sorted out the 5% duty too. Age of car and originality is important for that. There are plenty of Mustangs here already to choose from. If you have doubts about the seller buy from the UK. Remember you will hear horror stories, but look at the number of cars here already. Most arrive with no issues. Phone the dealer and talk to him. If you get good vibes he's probably ok. Does he have a website? Does he look legit?? Will you save much by importing yourself rather than buying a car here? Just a few thoughts

We just listed a bunch of new horses and reduced prices on the CANTER Texas website and I'll be back at the track listing more this week. The season just ended at Retama so trainers are trying to move horses, don't hesitate to make offers. www.canterusa.org/Texas If you're looking for something that's been retrained and want to adopt, there's Remember Me Rescue near Dallas and LOPE near Austin.
