I have a fantastic dentist. The best one I've ever had. She's right by the Porter Sq T stop. Triplet women and all 3 are awesome. http://www.yelp.com/biz/porter-square-family-dental-cambridge

Harry Jefferson peter says hi! but no, these are old injuries
Meredith M. replied:
Been to way too many PTs in Cambridge. Best one was Sophia at Joint Ventures but it depends on the injury. http://www.jointventurespt.com/our-staff/sophia-maines
Meredith M. replied:
Some of MGH PT is very good others are not - just depends. Their probably the best bet though. Marino Center on Mass Ave is terrible.
Dentist recommendations I’m looking for a competent, preferably family dentist in the camberville area. I’ve had some bad luck picking on my own so any...

My SO was told he'd need about 3 k worth of dental work on a broken molar. He went to Dental Arts Davis Square for a second opinion and they said they could just pull the tooth for around $100 after insurance and that he didn't need to do any of the crazy things our former dentist was saying would be necessary. I've only gone to them since (and they're very friendly).

Lorna Lally DMD on college ave. Their whole practice is amazing! Edit: spelling

Great Hill Dental endo department is p good but pricey

Cambridge smiles on mass ave in north CAMBRIDGE. Paula stones. She requires you to have care credit though but she’s the best

I really like Highland Dental up on Broadway. I haven't had to get any serious work done, but they've always been very professional and thorough, and made me feel very welcome.

If you have a car or don't mind getting there, Yavner Dental in Medford is great. Free parking and small practice - I feel like the youngest patient in the building but 101 Main St in Medford is my jam
ComplexClock replied:
Dental Arts Davis Square has great dentists!

I go to Somerville First Dental next to Forge and the dollar store. It's fine, I guess. Nothing spectacular.
zepporamone replied:
Casey Cook in Davis Square. Love him.
steezemachine replied:
I had a fine experience at Somerville family dental. Everyone was very nice and it was a great experience (as great as can be had from a routine cleaning) Edit: plus I was also able to say “Hi, Dr. Nick!!!” when I was there...

I go to kappa dental on Washington cause its close to my house. Generally seems OK.
tbuntel replied:
Tim Deahl on Mass Ave in Cambridge near Davis. Very nice staff, easy to get appointments for cleanings, and they do good quality work. He always asks if you're interested in Invisalign, though, so stand firm if you like your crooked teeth (I do!)
Quercus-bicolor replied:
MGH Dental Group. Went to them for a second opinion and they told me the work the other dentist wanted to do was not necessary. Been with them for over 10 years now.

My family goes to Dental Services PC on Mass Ave between Harvard and Porter. It's a bigger practice with 3 or 4 dentists and maybe 10+ hygienists? If you don't care about having the exact same hygenist each time, the size of the practice makes getting appointments easy. And, if you want to have the same hygenist each time, it's still pretty easy to schedule.

Does anyone have Network Health and use a dentist in the greater Boston area? Looking for recommendations of good dentists
Todd P. replied:
Not sure how close you are to Watertown, but I would recommend Dr Joe Salusti in Watertown Square. really nice people there! Not sure if they would take your insurance or not... http://www.drsalustidmd.com/
Will M. replied:
Not sure about insurance but if you've seen the photos of how fucked up my teeth were after I took that spill on my bike and the way they look now, this is the gentleman that was responsible for everything. He also has REALLY attractive dental hygienists. http://dentologyboston.com/meet-dr-andrews.html
Will M. replied:
Dr. Andrews is totally cool with portable record players too.
Who DIDN"T go to Dr. Dadarno (sp?) up on Union St for their dentist? His business partner was Dr. Furio
Lisa R. replied:
I have had a lifelong fear of dentists thanks to Dr. Furio. He filled every one of my molars. My teeth were overcrowded and crooked but told my parents I did not need braces. I also have been diagnosed with Hypothyroidism. I had no idea that it could be caused by mercury exposure.
Lynne R. replied:
My husband Mark, was slapped in the face by Dr. Dardano because Mark moved from the pain he was in!
Tricia L. replied:
though When my Matt was small, I had him to Dr. Jacobs(the old Man)... Matt was fidgity... I was told to take him home and return when he can sit still... - then gave me a bill...
Susan R. replied:
I went to Dr. Howard Jacobs. He had an office downstairs from where my dad worked. And he still practices today!!!!
Judy W. replied:
Too bad there was no angieslist.com. And how very awful, we as adults remain traumatized by this. Let's find these men, tie them in a chair and start drilling away!
Kerri S. replied:
I had Dr. Dardano too and during 1 lovely visit, he was too busy checking out the chest on his assistant and put the navacaine needle right through my cheek and squited the shit on the wall... I never got novacain again for a filling as long as I went to that hell hole
Dan B. replied:
Dr, D was a psycho ...
Lynne R. replied:
He had the biggest and fattest fingers, could barely fit in my mouth!!!He did love to drill always trying to put in fillings!!! Caused me to always brush cause never wanted to go there either! I think I liked Dr. Furio better....
Tricia L. replied:
remember people... back in the day there wasn't Dental Ins. so out parents just took up to the cheapest, and closest place.. also remember most families only had the one car... so it being local was the one to go to... torture chamber or not...
Brenda R. replied:
Dr. Edlund was just as bad. I learned years later that he did lots of unnecessary dental work.
Noelle B. replied:
My sister, Brigette Belair Walters & I went 2 Dr. Edlund....We HATED him. He was so "creepy with his "elevator music". We used 2 take a peek in2 his "little drawers". Always smelled weird 2. I remember having 2 ride our bikes 2 his office and then drive home drooling from the novacaine.
Carolyn B. replied:
I agree Linda.. I have a filling in just about every molar in my mouth..!! i still have a fear of the dentist bc of Dr Furio..!!
Patty M. replied:
Dr. Edlund gave me my first filling and it was COPPER!!!
Megan M. replied:
I had Dr. Furio until he sold the practice (the new owners are both awesome and now are in Hingham). I remember being SHOCKED when the new dentist used topical anesthetic before plunging in with the huge Novicaine needle. Dr. Furio was a mad man!
Patty M. replied:
I didn't. I went to Dr. Edlund on North Ave
Peter M. replied:
Had Dr.Davis
David M. replied:
Dr. Furio was a sadist, I think he just hated kids in general. Thats ok the feeling was mutual!!
Ugh, think I need to have a tooth pulled.... It hurts so much!

My wife and I have been going to Davis Square Dental for the past year or two and we really like it. It can be hard to get the first appointment, but thats because they are so busy. http://www.yelp.com/biz/casey-cook-dmd-somerville
