You'd probably have a harder time finding one that wasn't LGBT friendly.

Check out [Liquid Hair Studios](http://www.liquidhairstudios.com/) in the South End. They seem to be super comfortable with everyone:)

Pure Hair Design in the south end is great on that front- the last time I got my roots done there my stylist, Katy Brown, was also doing color work on a trans lady getting her hair re-purpled.

i cut my own hair so i can’t answer yr question but i’d definitely recommend joining the queer exchange boston group on facebook! lots of people ask for recs there and i’d imagine it to be a little more helpful than reddit

I’m so very sorry that at this day and ago you still are in a situation where you are looking for someone to provide service who isn’t transphobic. I have been trying to find a salon/stylist that fit my needs for a while since I moved to Boston. Although we never discussed this, but I’m fairly certain she is LGBTQ+ friendly, Grace from Fulham salon in Brighton is amazing. She does both men’s, women’s cuts and she is also a colorist.

I am curious to hear about what negative experience you have had with any hairdresser to date. My sexual preferences have never come up during a hair cut.
