My cat goes to John Bujalski at Porter Square vet. He's always been very good to us.

I take my puppy to Boston Veterinary Care, part of the Animal Rescue League on Chandler St. Might be a little bit of a trip but affordable and the vets/staff are amazing. Very affordable and all profits support the rescue! http://www.arlboston.org/bvc/

Arlington animal clinic. Great Veterinary care. Prices are also reasonable. Dr Schickler, Dr. Cole. I believe both graduated from Tufts and they co-own the practice (something I look for verses managed practices owned by a corporate entity). Porter square Vet in Davis has a great reputation but my impression is that they are a little more expensive.

I've been bringing my cat and dog to Dr. Sells at Charlestown Veterinary Hospital (Roland St, near Sullivan Station) for the past 4 years. Great staff, normal pricing, highly recommend.

We use city cats in arlington - they are cat only and probably pricier than the average vet, but their general level of care is so great. personal calls to check up on the cats after visits, etc.

Lap of Love is an excellent service to help find an appropriate provider, too. They also provide resources for in home hospice visits. I have also heard good things about Dr. Tedaldi.

We like Porter Square Veterinarian, which is appropriately located on Summer Street in Davis Square.

Had good experiences with Union square vet, which isn't really in Union.

Union Square vet is awesome! They take such good care of our pets, but they definitely are on the pricier side.

Also recommending Union Square Vets. My roommate is one of their vet techs, and everyone who works there really genuinely cares about the health and well-being of the animals that come in!

We have been taking our two cats to Dr. Parker over at Porter Square Vet for years. They are knowledgeable, reliable, and friendly!

I LOVED Dr Leavy at VCA City Cats in Arlington. I had a very timid cat with neuro issues and she walked us through everything, even talking stuff over the phone with me and trialing meds so he wouldn’t have to come in. Also it’s a cat only vet, so no nosy dogs in the waiting room

I second Union sq vet I have been going there for years since they first started in union sq. They are located on Highland ave and the lady Vet there specializes in cats. I have a black cat. They also accept care credit

It's over the water, but I highly recommend VCA Animal in Brookline. I just brought my cat in for his old man dental, and he lost two teeth, poor guy. They were super upfront and realistic about pricing, and we negotiated a payment plan to spread the cost out. Had nothing but positive experiences there.

My dog goes to medford pet clinic but the revere one is also good, decently priced.

Call Merwin memorial free animal clinic in Allston and see if they can give you the best cheap referral.
