For a great breakfast, or burger at a reasonable price look up Clover Grill on Bourbon. Some waiters work in entertainment at night and grill by day. Halarious.

Depends on what price range / experience level you're looking for. Nearly every casino has prime rib on the menu. Western Viliage is really good for the price.

We usually go to Gold Dust West when that craving hits. Consistent quality. Great service.

The Silver Skillet at 200 14 th St. is still alive and kicking. That is about two blocks west of I 75/85. Southern Cookin Since 1956.
Lee S. replied:
Joanie, I cannot tell you how pleased I am to hear that. Are you open on Cheshire Bridge? I grew up near the old Varsity Jr. My mom used to shop at your CBR store, the old Pot o Gold and Mrs Leonetties. Last couple of times I was in Atlanta, your CBR store was not open. Ask your folks if they remember a restaurant called Twelve Oaks at the corner of CBR and Piedmont.
Lewie R. replied:
Twelve Oaks also had great fried chicken and at one time, curb service behind the building.

Krispy Kreme on Ponce (does that count?). Rhodes Bakery (not a restaurant, but good food) on Cheshire Bridge. Henri's in Buckhead.
Amy L. replied:
The place on Monroe was The Silver Grill. It used to be soooo good! The last incarnation was pretty yucky. Silver Skillet is on 14 th. Nino's on Cheshire Bridge has been there since the 60's. I had my first date at Dante's in Underground. It was the fun, hip place in the early 70's, but by the mid-70's it really changed and became more run-down and crime ridden. I always thought it was a very cool place; loved the arcade with the old midway-style games.
Richie R. replied:
The White House is still there and you can still get burgers at the Q Room on Irby Avenue
