Ann Bynum at Holly Tree Family Dental. She has two offices, one in Simpsonville and one in Easley. She has treated my now 19 year-old son since he was three. She has a special room for kids that need more privacy. And she's an excellent dentist--helped my son recover from severe enamel erosion. I can't speak highly enough of her.

Dr. Mark Muncy of Pediatric Dentistry off Pelham! He is amazing with my two children who are special needs one is HFA and the other who has extreme anxiety! They are 8 and 7. They both also have rare seizure disorders each a different diagnosis. I would recommend him to anyone! He is very passionate with children and makes it fun and he finds cool ways to get the sugar bugs off the teeth and helps explain stuff to the children. After leaving the dental offices my kids love to show their friends the tooth brush and dental floss and goodies they get from the office!:D He is your best dentist! 100% trust him with any child.

Dr. Birch at spartanburg pediatric dentistry is great with my son
Kimberly C. replied:
We went through FOUR before finding Crockett Denistry on Venture Dr in Greenville. Dr. Mary is AWESOME. My son has CP but has very severe oral aversions as well as a high gag reflex (sometimes touching his lip triggers it) Over the last 8 years, he is 12, she has been so patient and is great at reading what he can and cannot handle. Two weeks ago he was able to tolerate an in office cleaning and last week had some minor work done with nitrous. This was huge for us as all other work has been done under general anastesia. She is AWESOME.

Can anyone recommend a dentist who is knowledgeable about breast fed babies/toddlers? Took Katie to the dentist today and she has 4 cavities and was told it was due to...
Jessie W. replied:
from my research as well, cavities are more based on heredity than anything else. Breastmilk contains probiotics and good healthy bacteria, not the kind that causes cavities. Regardless of what dentist you choose, I'd just keep the fact that she still nurses at night to yourself. We use dr. Mark Muncy at Pediatric Dentistry in Greenville, but I didn't take Jaina or Jayce until they were 3 so I have no idea how he feels about nursing.
Rebecca W. replied:
My Ella's front top 4 had flourisis that turned to cavities in 4-5 months. At 22 months she didn't drink juice or eat candy and was very healthy. She still night nursed. So they said it was the milk. Then they said it was combo of milk and food together...whatever!!. basically anything except fluoride. Because thats against their talking points. It made me cry feeling educated and still being blamed. I went to three drs and one in Greer was nicest about it at least. She did two crowns and 2 fillings but I was pleased enough with her manner and handling of it. There is an all natural guy but he won't see kids, just once they have all adult teeth. Did u see in the summer the FDA admitted that fluoride isn't good and especially in the quantities they allow in our water? Yup. They finally looked into it bc so many kids are suddenly having weak teeth and other related issues. Are they doing anything about it? Not that I know of. Both hubby and I have good teeth -genetics is not her issue. Well I did until I moved here. the water!! We now get reverse osmosis water from my mother and will get our own shaklee filter soon. Do not feel guilty like I did. Just like at any ped...take their info smile and when it's done it's done. Brush it off. I took hubby with me bc I was gonna break down if he didn't and he is a Chiro so he kinda understands the terms for the numbing agents and such better. The dentist we used was able to do it all w just gas bc she was calm. Much better than shots or pills. That's also why he came...united front. Good luck. http://www.gpdcare.com/
Ashley M. replied:
I took Abbey to Foothills Pediatric Dentistry as well and I really liked the Dentist Dr. Bozard. He really wasn't concerned about her nursing to bed because he stated that breastmilk is less cariogenic (causing tooth decay) than other liquids. He just said to try to brush her teeth after nursing if I could. Yeah right lol.
