Any good eye doctors? I'm looking for an eye doctor, particularly one that has some experience with diabetic patients. Any suggestions?

Recently I have went to Shopko Optical in the valley. They get the job done. After you get the prescription for your glasses then I highly recommend [zenni optical](http://www.zennioptical.com) for your frames and lenses. Good quality and inexpensive as hell.

Dr. Hagen at Garland Vision Source is awesome. I'm diabetic and he's very knowledgable and professional. Plus they just remodeled the clinic and it looks great.

I've been going to [North Spokane Eye Care](http://www.northspokaneeyecare.com/) on Rowan, right by Holy Family for about 15 years. My original doctor left a few years ago, but his replacement Dr. Gaimari has been great to me, too.

I think Dr. Leachman up north was a good optometrist. He seemed very knowledgeable (from my limited optician background). I've since switched to going to Costco because the hours and prices of hardware are better.
Does anybody have a referral for an exceptional Ophthalmologist? Not mediocre, not good, but exceptional, in the Spokane area.

anyone have a pediatric ophthalmologist they recommend? No luck on Yelp. Insurance provider list is quite long and has little details. My daughter is 4 for reference.

Cheryl S. replied:
Welcome to my world sweet Alaskan friend. I have been going upstairs in Northtown Mall to what is now Vision Works for about six years now. Last time I had an eye exam there the Dr. did some very progressive stuff because of my chronological space LOL. Great frames too you'll love them ask for Jimmy he's my friend but they all know me there.
Lynn E. replied:
Cheryl, now things are getting out of hand! Dr. Thompson at Vision Works is my eye doctor, too!!!

Dr Todd Wylie up on the South Hill. He is a believer and understands ocular medicine better than anyone I've ever met. He is also a very pleasant man. We all go up there now; he is the only provider I haven't "abandoned" since moving to the valley.
